We have been avid explorers of Myakka River State Park for the better part of two decades and have been operating tours for nearly 5 years so our knowledge and expertise of the park and it's wildlife inhabitants is unmatched! Our guides are also extremely proficient in photography so you will leave with plenty of great photo mementos at no additional cost! Perhaps what makes our experience the most unique is that our top of the line E-bikes allow you to choose how much effort you put into the ride. Put your assist level low and get some exercise or allow the bike to do all the work and see the entire park sweat-free.

Myakka Canopy Walkway

The Myakka Canopy Walkway provides easy access to observe life in the treetops of an oak/palm hammock. As an outdoor laboratory for research and education, it is also a place for discovery and provides an opportunity for visitors to see canopy inhabitants up close. Completed in 2000, this structure is the first public treetop trail in North America. The walkway is suspended 25 feet above the ground and extends 100 feet through the hammock canopy. The taller tower soars 74 feet in the air to present a spectacular view of treetops, wetlands and the prairie/hammock interface. You can look down on eagles, hawks, vultures, and the tops of live oak and sabal palm trees.

You will be greeted by our guides where you'll promptly get a thorough explanation of the electric bicycles and all safety protocols. Then were off to explore Florida's largest State Park! The majestic Myakka river flows through 58 square miles of vast unspoiled wetlands, prairies, hammocks and pinelands, where we’re all but guaranteed to see numerous deer, alligators (at a very safe distance), birds and so much more! If old Florida beauty and nature is more your pace, this is the tour for you!

Beautiful day and enjoyed the e-bike tour of the park with Derek and Chad. They were knowledgeable about the history of the park and photo stops along the way. Highly recommend this experience!

Guides was very knowledgeable and made sure to fine wildlife along the way.. they also made sure that everyone was fitted correctly on your bikes before leaving Derick even gave up his bike so someone in our party was comfortable .

The E bike tour was absolutely awesome. Derek and Chad were terrific tour guides. Very knowledgeable and made it easy to enjoy. I would highly recommend taking this tour. The scenery is incredible in the history of the park quite intriguing. Plus, you get to see alligators, which is really cool. A+!

What a fun day at the park! We had never been on e-bikes before, but they were so easy to ride. Derek and Chad were gracious hosts, so knowledgeable and even learned ALL of our names! They made an extra effort to educate us while having a lot of fun. And the alligators were amazing to see! It was a great way to enjoy nature and learn a little local history.

Had an amazing time on the Myakka E-bike Safari. Derek and Chad were great. So knowledgeable about the park. Took awesome pictures to share and made the whole experience fun. Highly recommend and would definitely take any of their bike tours.

Let me preface this with saying, I don't do very many reviews because they don't often deserve 5 stars, and they don't often deserve 1 star. I only rate those companies and only if they genuinely deserve it. The way this started and ended were vastly different. I received a text the evening before our outing to be at the meeting spot at 10am. It mentioned no need to be early, but to please be on time. We got there at about 9:50am and no e-bikes to be seen. Then 9:55am, then 10am, then 10:05am...all the way to 10:15am. As I was calling the number that texted me, I received another text. Someone had side-swiped the trailer with the e-bikes in them. No one was hurt, he was wrapping up with the police, and they were 5 minutes out. The guide, Derek, couldn't have been more apologetic and thankful for our patience. Given the experience he just had, he was in unbelievably good spirits. Derek is a very likeable guy, as is his assistant, Chad. Also, Derek likes to give people trouble in a fun way. My advice is to make sure you bring a sense of humor with you. Once we got going, they kept the tour lively, hitting remarkably beautiful spots, interesting wildlife, etc. A couple things to know in advance: it says max 12 guests, but we had 19 and it was totally fine. If I had to say one negative thing, while the bikes are absolutely in working order, they have seen better days. This is a small company doing everything they can to provide a service at a reasonable price, so it's more something to know going in as opposed to a negative.

Derek and Chad were very patient, entertaining and knowledgeable. We enjoyed every moment. We are thinking of rebooking this season when our kids come down. Myakka State Park is beautiful. Derek has a love of nature, shared a lot of facts and tells great stories. Derek and Chad are doing what they love, and it shows. Many of the people there today hadn't had much experience on e-bikes but these two were great teachers and were there to help when any needs arose.
