We have been avid explorers of Myakka River State Park for the better part of two decades and have been operating tours for nearly 5 years so our knowledge and expertise of the park and it's wildlife inhabitants is unmatched! Our guides are also extremely proficient in photography so you will leave with plenty of great photo mementos at no additional cost! Perhaps what makes our experience the most unique is that our top of the line E-bikes allow you to choose how much effort you put into the ride. Put your assist level low and get some exercise or allow the bike to do all the work and see the entire park sweat-free.

Myakka Canopy Walkway
The Myakka Canopy Walkway provides easy access to observe life in the treetops of an oak/palm hammock. As an outdoor laboratory for research and education, it is also a place for discovery and provides an opportunity for visitors to see canopy inhabitants up close. Completed in 2000, this structure is the first public treetop trail in North America. The walkway is suspended 25 feet above the ground and extends 100 feet through the hammock canopy. The taller tower soars 74 feet in the air to present a spectacular view of treetops, wetlands and the prairie/hammock interface. You can look down on eagles, hawks, vultures, and the tops of live oak and sabal palm trees.

You will be greeted by our guides where you'll promptly get a thorough explanation of the electric bicycles and all safety protocols. Then were off to explore Florida's largest State Park! The majestic Myakka river flows through 58 square miles of vast unspoiled wetlands, prairies, hammocks and pinelands, where we’re all but guaranteed to see numerous deer, alligators (at a very safe distance), birds and so much more! If old Florida beauty and nature is more your pace, this is the tour for you!

5.00Was great day, Derrick is a great guide he shared lots of interesting titbits of the park history and of the area. Extremely knowledgable of park inhabitants, flora and fauna! Very lighthearted and entertaining but beware of threats of leaving you to walk! It would never happen, would be interesting if someone took him up on his offer… interested to see how he would ride 2 bike’s back?! He is resourceful and multi talented! Full service and provided photography services for of all of us! Bikes rode smoothly, great teacher, with safety first! We had only 9 people, everyone really friendly and welcoming. Well worth the cost, great fun, beautiful park and would definitely recommend.

4.00Derrick was great and knows the park like nobody else. It was about three hours long which was just right. He took every opportunity to take pictures of every couple, which is nice, but I don’t have a iPhone so haven’t received them yet. As an area native I would think twice about booking in the summer.

5.00I was slightly reluctant to book the Myakka State Park E-bike Safari, but I’m so glad I did—it turned out to be an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. Derek was outstanding. He’s incredibly friendly, made everyone feel welcome right away, and kept the entire group informed throughout the tour. The e-bikes were clearly well maintained, and Derek did a great job helping everyone feel comfortable and confident before we ever hit the trail. The views were stunning, and the added pit stops made the experience even better. Derek’s knowledge of Myakka River State Park really stood out—each stop was interesting, informative, and never rushed. I highly recommend this tour. Derek is a rock star, and the entire ride was filled with smiles, laughter, and unforgettable scenery. If you’re on the fence like I was, don’t hesitate—just book it.

5.00Loved this tour! We had a group of 5 - couple of college kids, parents and 82 year old grandma! The e-bikes made the tour more fun and easy to explore the park. Derek did a great job keeping us informed along the way and he took great pictures of us…we’ll be back to do the tour again!

5.00We saw quite a few alligators, the e bikes are a fun way to see a lot of the park. My youngest wasn't quite skilled enough to ride the bike so she got towed behind her dad.
