Why did an insane woman in the early 1600s murder her child? Who was the famous hitman who murdered the slave trader in his sleep? Did the Boston Strangler really make a visit to Salem? These historical tales and much more will unfold on this whirlwind tour of this mysterious seaside city. This is the perfect tour for true crime fans and those who love a good scandalous story!
Attention: Adult Mature content including descriptive graphic murders, sexual assault and torture. This tour is not appropriate for children under 13!! Minors under 18 must be accompanied by a paid Adult, with ticket. Younger children/chaperone will be asked to leave or transfer to a different tour (if space allows).
Tours run RAIN or SHINE. We do NOT cancel for weather. No refunds in October.

We do not enter any buildings or cemeteries on this tour, this is an outdoor activity only.

5.00We absolutely loved this tour—it was one of the highlights of our time in Salem. If you’re looking for something beyond the usual witch trial history, this is such a great way to experience a different side of the city. The stories of murders, mysteries, and ghost sightings were fascinating, and hearing them while walking through Salem at night made it even more atmospheric and memorable. Our guide was fantastic—engaging, knowledgeable, and a great storyteller. They really brought each location to life and kept the group interested the entire time. It was definitely worth the money, though be prepared for quite a bit of walking. We also appreciated that the tour took us to spots we likely wouldn’t have discovered on our own. It felt unique and a bit more off-the-beaten-path. Definitely recommend for younger and older adults who enjoy a mix of history, mystery, and a little bit of a spooky edge!

5.00We had an excellent time with Samantha! Not only was she super kind providing us hand warmers and plastic ponchos, but she was also super knowledgeable and funny! She gave us great insight into the murders, mysteries, and haunts of Salem AND she provided picture and video proof to back all her stories up!!! I have always been a believer with my fiancée being a skeptic, and by the end of the tour he was a believer!

5.00Great walking tour. Violet was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. It was just my group of 5 and we had just finished a tour. She made a point not to repeat anything. She shared some photos which was nice.

5.00Wear comfy shoes! The tour was amazing. My only complaint is that while on the tour we were told about a serial killer who killer men in different countries before countries and then came to Salem and killed again. There was later a book about him. I can’t remember the name of the book and I wanna read it so bad.

5.00This was a fun tour with a few gruesome parts (which we wanted)! Tour guide did an excellent job with the story telling. He was respectful and provided some interesting nuggets of information along the way! We signed up for what looked like a 45 minute tour that turned out to be 90+ minutes. It was ok, but much longer than we thought.
