This small-group walking experience offers an introduction to everyday life in Nadi, guided by a local professional with deep knowledge of Fiji’s culture, history, and communities.
Walking through town allows us to slow down and experience the places where daily life happens. Along the way, we visit the Sri Subramaniya Temple, the farmers market, an art gallery showcasing contemporary Fijian artworks, and local art and craft community centre, using each stop to explore how history, religion, food, and community living shape modern Fiji.
Group sizes are intentionally kept small to encourage conversation, flexibility, and a relaxed pace. The experience is ideal for travelers who want cultural understanding, meaningful local interaction, and a thoughtful orientation to Fiji early in their stay.

We have two; tour departure times at 10am and 1pm.
Meeting point is outside of Tappoos Shopping Complex, main street Nadi town.
Wear comfortable shoes and clothing and bring a hat.
Note a minimum of 2 participants are required to operate any tour departure.

Great tour to become acquainted with Fiji!

5.00This was exactly what we wanted for our first full day here in Fiji! We got to learn about the culture, ask all the questions and got to experience some of the local life. Maya was great and took me by a couple of stores to make sure I could get essentials at the next price. They are great! If you are wondering if you should book it, just do it.

1.00Not enough material to fill the time. They explain that the tour is an overview of the city but we got very little information and the only part of history they seemed willing to talk about was the sugar industry. The tour guide was dismissive, patronising and hostile. We gained very little information and nothing more than what we would have done walking it ourselves. Tour guide wouldn't answer any questions about politics or religion and was only willing to discuss one aspect of modern history. We were uncomfortable the way the tour guide spoke about indo-fijians as it came across extremely racist. We have been on many walking tours in many countries and this is not the standard we would expect - especially a paid tour.

5.00It was a pleasure to meet with John. He was very knowledgeable about Nadi. John shared about the recent past of Nadi and history of Fiji. He was patient with all of our questions and answered all of them. John shared the handicraft traditions of locals with us and at the market we sample some fresh pineapple. John introduced us to art work of contemporary local artists. At the end of the tour John let 7s know to contact him with any further questions or concerns, he'd be happy to help us. Very kind and generous.

5.00John was our tour guide. We were lucky to be the only group on that day which made it more private. John was very friendly, attentive. and knowledgeable. The tour was amazing and we had fun trying all the local fruits/products. We highly recommend this tour.

5.00Jon was very well informed. You could tell he loved his country. If you would like to learn more about Fiji this is the tour to take. Also , I recently hurt my foot and he was very considerate to not go too fast.

5.00Fantastic experience!! John was an excellent guide! Very friendly, knowledgeable, and informative! During our trip, the temple unfortunately was closed to visitors, but our guide was kind enough to make up for it by treating us to refreshments at the local Indian restaurant and some local fruit at the market. He also gave us some travel tips and showed us around an art gallery to finish off the tour. I was admittedly a bit nervous going in, but the tour guide did a fantastic job to ease those nerves and was even kind enough to take a picture for me. Would highly recommend the experience!

5.00Excellent walking tour of Nadi. It was great to learn about the daily life in the markets and Maya our guide recommended fruits to try. We ended at the temple which is beautiful.
