Known as "Outdooring" in some ethnic groups, particularly among the Akan, this ceremony celebrates the naming of an individual, marking their introduction to the community and the ancestors. It’s an opportunity to receive a traditional Ghanaian name, often based on the day of the week they were born (following the Akan tradition). The ceremony typically involves prayers, the pouring of libation to honor the ancestors, and blessings from elders. It may also include drumming, dancing, and a communal meal. 4.00Miss Ruby was truly the best guide we could have hoped for. From start to finish, she was incredibly patient, calm, and kind, creating such a comfortable and welcoming experience for all of us. She took the time to explain everything in clear detail, making sure no one felt lost or left behind. What stood out the most was how she genuinely encouraged us to ask questions. She never rushed through anything and always made sure we fully understood before moving on. Her positive attitude and deep knowledge made the entire experience both enjoyable and memorable. 5.00UNFORGETTABLE!! This was an amazing experience that I would strongly recommend to all my friends and family! It was incredibly touching and informative. A perfect mix of adventure, history, and honor. Our hike was great! Very manageable and a fun experience for all ages. Our tour guide, Ruby, was amazing and was able to answer any question we had about the country, region, and culture. In addition to that she has incredible photography and videography skills and will capture shots that you’ll want to show friends for a lifetime. I urge my brothers and sisters to experience this journey, and for others to come learn more about the history of this land and its people!

5.00Everything was amazing. From booking, the driver, to the personal touches our guide gave us. We were so grateful for the day. You MUST book this experience- you definitely will not regret it. It was a full day leaving from Accra. But SO WORTH IT. We will do it again when we return to the motherland.

5.00Ruby and her driver were AMAZING! We were transported in a nice air conditioned van to the Ivory Coast. She is very knowledgeable about all things Ghana. She wells very patient during each stop. She chose the best slave river tour and castle tour. All restaurant stops were authentic and safe to try local dishes. Overall, book Nsroma Adventures!
