Meet at Glacier Guides & Montana Raft at 9:30am to meet your guide and go over a brief orientation. Once in Glacier, you'll get to explore Glacier's natural wonders on a guided adventure! Start with a 1-mile round trip walk through Lake McDonald Valley, admiring its glaciated beauty and resident wildlife. Then, venture to the North Fork Valley with scenic stops en route. Take another 1-mile round trip walk along the Wild and Scenic North Fork of the Flathead River, learning about the environment and its history.

This engaging nature walk is easy, offering captivating insights. After the walk, return to the Glacier Guides and Montana Raft office in the early afternoon, benefiting from your knowledgeable guide's expertise. Typically, the tour concludes around 1:30 PM.

We did the Nature Walk for our annual friend trip -- Tom & Malcolm were great guides & embraced our silly group shenanigans! Hope to see them on next year's friend trip ;P

As a solo traveler visiting Glacier National Park for the first time, the Nature Walk (one activity) and Scenic Float (another activity) were the perfect way to begin my trip and start to learn about GNP and the West Glacier area. Lucas led us to our first glimpse of Lake McDonald and then guided us through two easy trails, educating us about the terrain and wildlife along the way. The Scenic Float was led by Jesse who paddled our raft down the Middle Fork of the Flathead River for about 7 miles. It was incredibly peaceful and almost meditative. The staff were all great! I'd highly recommend Glacier Guides and Montana Raft and would book with them again in the future.

Great tour for plant and tree and animal habitat during a nice walk. Guide Lilian was fun and had great stories to tell about the history and natural beauty of the park. I learned a lot!!

Lillian was a fantastic, knowledgeable, and friendly guide. The walk was very inter and fun! My favorite thing she showed us was the minuscule lichen cups, like champagne flutes for fairies!

Leader was very knowledgeable in the area and the surroundings pointing out many of the plants which added a nice touch to the walk

Morgan was our hiking guide for the Piegan Pass 9/18/25-OUTSTANDING! Morgan, provided a joyful hike full of conversation from our entire group along with knowledge of the trail, surroundings. The guided walk was the perfect way to start out visit to Glacier Park. During the entire week that followed, we referred back to what Lillian had taught us. We highly recommend the Walk and Float combo.
