We offer a local naxian farm experience where you can see our farm animals like chickens rabbits pigs peacocks and collect the eggs! You will be guided through the olive and fruit trees and you will taste seasonal fruits and our extra virgin olive oil! We will collect also vegetables and the famous naxian potato! We will taste naxian wine, raki and Naxos variety of cheese! We will cook together with our grandmother naxian recipes from the products that we have collected before! We will also dance naxian local dances!"

The tour commences at a family-owned farm located near the village of Melanes. To begin with, guests will have the opportunity to meet a diverse range of farm animals, including chickens, rabbits, pigs, peacocks, and more. You will also have the opportunity to engage in collecting the day's freshly laid eggs. Following that, a visit to the olive groves will allow you to learn about the methods employed to cultivate healthy trees and produce top-quality olive oil. Subsequently, we will guide you through the potato fields, introducing you to the renowned Naxian potato. You will then have the chance to explore various fruit trees, sampling the delicious seasonal fruits they yield. Next on the itinerary is a visit to the vineyard and vegetable garden, where you can gather the finest seasonal produce. Finally, you will collaborate in cooking traditional Naxian recipes over a wood fire. This culinary adventure will include preparing a Naxian omelet and an appetizer such as zucchini balls, tzatziki as a dip, savoring Naxian potatoes, sampling a variety of Naxos cheeses, preparing a main dish such as "briam" or "gemista" and enjoying locally produced house wine.

5.00The presenter, (I cannot spell her name), did an awesome job explaining what is grown on the farm and real good info on the olive trees and olive oil processing. Her lively personality made the event a lot of fun. Making the food was also enjoyable and very good. Would recommend doing this in Naxos.

5.00Fantastic experience! We loved learning about the farm and the traditions of the family. The cooking was very fun. The kids (8 & 9) loved getting to cut and grate vegetables. The food and wine were delicious. My kids loved throwing table scraps to the ducks.

5.00The host and his family are really friendly. The food was delicious and plenty, everyone participated in preparing even the kids. The preparation is very well organized and the experience is memorable, would recommend it definitely!

2.00I cannot believe this farm experience / cooking class gets a 5 star from anyone. They have obviously never been to a real cooking class. While our guide/hostess Constantina was absolutely the sweetest… the “experience” we had was absolutely dreadful. After a silly 45 minute farm tour - which consisted of an egg hunt (clearly placed eggs by owner,) we then we sat for 4 hours (yes - 4 hours.) It was almost as if it was their first cooking class. Nothing was prepared and the whole experience felt very disorganized. There was a lot of waiting and not a lot of cooking. We sat for 4 hours and cooked maybe a total of 30 minutes. The other issues is the flies. I realize this is an outside Kitchen and flies cannot be avoided. But it was disgusting. Flies everywhere - on the food we prepared and the food that was already cooked. Again - everyone was very nice but the whole experience felt very chaotic and unenjoyable.
