The best way to discover authentic island life is to walk through the history and back streets of Naxos Old Town for a sensational food experience and a true taste of local culture.
From the historical port to the crowning castle, the Venetian Old Town with its quaint alleyways -where the food market is awake- passing by colourful fruit stands and stalls with aromatic herbs and spices, we invite travellers to enjoy a sampling of local delicacies including a variety of fine, local Naxian cheeses with a glass of wine, the famous naxian potatoes cooked traditionally and a variety of phyllo snacks.
The food tour is filled with the promise of more traditional mezes and local delights all along the way. Guests learn about the richness of the Naxian products, the people and the local cuisine.

5.00This was our top Naxos tour. We got to sample many items and learn more about the food from Naxos at some awesome locations. The highlight was the family style dinner. Our tour guide Angelica was a delight and helped the group get to know each other while also sharing some great historical insights.

5.00Our guide was a delightful gentleman who related well to all tour participants. He was especially kind to my 11 year old grandson involving him in all discussions…asking questions that involved thoughtful answers. The food sampled was good, stops at various locations just the right amount of time. The dinner was fabulous. I most particularly enjoyed the sampling of olive oils. I bought 4 different bottles! I did this tour 2 years ago with my granddaughter and enjoyed it just as much if not more the second time. I enthusiastically recommend.

5.00Great tour. Easy walk. Started with wine and cheese, ended with dinner and local distilled spirt Kitron. Guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. Food is very good. You will have a great time.

5.00Excellent tour detailing a bit about the island and its history along with its food. The olive oil tasting was really unique and we all enjoyed that. Everything was delicious and dinner was amazing. Great tour. Highly recommend.

5.00Learnt lots about the history of Naxos and Greece. Had some delicious and tasty tastings of cheese wines and olive oil finished off with a delicious and massive dinner. Aggeliki was an amazing tour guide the tour was relaxed and not rushed. Thanku

5.00When compared to other food tasting tours, this one has the most food to be eaten yet. Several tastings followed by a full meal. Make sure you come hungry and ready to eat

5.00This walking food tour was outstanding. Our guide, Angelica, was an absolute sweetheart who made the experience perfect. She is an architect and with that was very knowledgeable about the very rich history of the town and surrounding areas in addition to her knowledge and passion for local culture and gastronomical delights. The slow walk through the town with many stops to sample authentic Naxian and other Greek delights and to point out interesting facts was highly memorable and a highlight of our trip.
