On board our Hurricane vessel, our customers can experience the two most requested activities in the Algarve: Visiting the Benagil caves and Watching Dolphins in their natural habitat, accompanied by an experienced team: Skipper, Sailor and a Marine Biologist.
Our team will show you the unique characteristics of the Benagil Caves Route and our Biologist will reveal all the curiosities about the different dolphin species that inhabit our Algarve waters.
Our vessel is equipped with two engines with hydrojet propulsion, making it very safe for animals. Always in maximum safety and among other amenities, this vessel also has a toilet on board!

Benagil
Join us on our trip to the Benagil Caves with dolphin watching along the way. Here you get the best of both worlds. 1 trip, 2 magical experiences! Come aboard the Hurricane for a 2 and a half hour trip to discover the most famous Sea Cave in the Algarve – “Algar de Benagil” – and go looking for one of the six different species of dolphins present and observed in our waters! Majestic animals observed in their natural habitat! With a specialized team, our Marine Biologist will guide you along this journey to experience these 2 unmissable moments in Lagos!

5.00Nice, smooth ride; friendly and knowledgeable guides. We saw a couple of dolphins, including a baby and a pregnant momma. The caves were really pretty - Nice morning!

5.00This was so worth it. We lucked out and saw at least 100 dolphins. And we got to see the various caves along the coast from Lagos, including the famous Benigil Cave. Our boat had around 40 people and we got to go right into several caves. I was awestruck by the natural beauty and felt very fortunate to see so many common dolphins, including many young ones. The crew were friendly and great, and the look of amazement on the marine biologists face told the story. She was very gratified to see such a large and healthy population. The dolphins swam right beside our boat playfully. This was the highlight of our trip to Portugal so far and I can't recommend it highly enough. Just superlative.

4.00This excursion is a lot of fun and very worth doing. However, everyone should double check the time of the excursion. Our confirmation said it was at 9 and to be there 15 minutes early. The departure had been changed to 9:30 nd we were never notified. Also there was “ a long line” at the gas station so the boat left not until 9:50. It seemed disorganized and we were standing on the dock for an hour waiting to leave.
So glad we did this!

5.00Stunning day! Don’t pass this trip up! We saw lots of dolphins before heading to the coastline to experience the caves! Our guides provided education on dolphin life as well as points of interest along the coastline! Wind breakers were provided as we experienced a few minutes of rain. Be prepared for some bumps as you make the 45ish min trip out to where the dolphins are, and the 30ish min trip back to the coastline. It’s absolutely worth it!
