My daughter and I have just returned from a 5 night stay in NYC . We wanted to organise an itinerary , but also include time for shopping . We decided on the CityPass , and were impressed with it's simplicity . We chose The Empire State Building , The American Museum of Natural History , The 911 memorial and museum , The Top Of The Rock , and circle line express cruise. The app suggests which ones need booking in advance , and you can change dates/ times if you change your mind. All the excursions worked seamlessly , and included in your CityPass for the museum was one exhibition . We then covered other excursions ourselves , Grand Central Station , the Public Library , Central Park , Brooklyn Bridge etc .

The value for money here is excellent. This includes the Empire State Building (potentially two visits - day time and evening on the same day) and the American Museum of Natural History (including one additional activity). You can then choose three from a range of activities. I chose to visit the Statue of Liberty, the Intrepid Museum, and the Guggenheim Museum of Art. The Intrepid was my favourite of those three - getting to see the USS Intrepid aircraft carrier, the Growler submarine, and the OV-101 space shuttle Enterprise. Guggenheim was the only choice I didn’t enjoy as much, as it was a lot smaller than anticipated. However, as part of the pack it was good. The statue of liberty has alternate options not available through this (a podium and crown tour), but the base one was excellent.

The tickets were very good value for money, however due to my email address not being sent to City Pass, at first we were unable to book any activities. This was soon rectified with a phone all to customer service, after that the bookings went well.

So easy to book and pay for. Given a choice of experiences to visit. Downloaded the pass onto an app and presented at the various places to gain entry. Excellent price too!!

I had high expectations when I purchased my New York Citypass. The trips I did do were amazing. As well as the 2 included excursions, I booked for Top of the Rock and the 911 memorial and Museum. Very moving and highly worth visiting, all of them. However the choice then diminished as the Cruises, Intrepid and Guggenheim museum are now not included in the price, so price wise, it may not be as good value as it makes out. Whether these are temporary exclusions is unclear but be warned.

The city pass is very easy to use and makes it easier and cheaper to book sone of the key places. It's also easy to alter booked timeslots for entry to monuments if your plans change

We loved the flexibility, the things to do offered were top-notch, and the actual pass price was really fabulous!! The app has a very user-friendly screen of your choices at a glance, with dates and times at my fingertips! Loved it all, you can't go wrong with the pass!!
