5.00Our tour guide was a homegrown, retired history teacher with many bits of insider pieces of history of Newport. He had tons of pertinent facts and just as many fun items of interest about the days growing up in town hitchhiking to work at the golf course. His dad was a butler for one of the super rich too. He knew dates, marriages, family scoops. Very helpful, and friendly.

5.00Jim was a fantastic tour guide! He was knowledgeable, shared great stories and hist quick wit. This tour is a must do to preview the highlights of Newport. You definitely should make this your top priority and then schedule your stay to maximize your time and see the best that Newport offers in history, sites, food and fun!

4.00Mr Ray our Guide was very knowledgeable as he is from RI. He openly refused to allow us to go out of the trolley to the lovely scenic waterviews. He kept saying, " You can come back on tour own" . He was a Teacher and is set in his ways😀
The foggy windows

3.00The 1st hour of the tour the windows fogged up and u couldn't see anything. We had napkins and wiped them down but it didn't last. At the stop at the Breakers I told the tour operator. Ut he did not seem to cerned. He said :u should have said something" after he had told us to be quiet. Then he said to wipe them down and I explained that we did to no avail. He said he was sorry but the lu way to keep them dry was to open with down. It was 37 degrees. I told him he could get antisocial and spray the windows. He still seemed unconcerned. I think a partial refund is due since we really o ly saw half of what was described.
