  This was supposed to be a helicopter and cruise to see the Niagara Falls, but unfortunately the weather was not good so we did not get to do either one of those. But we had the best tour guide, Frank, who took us to see Journey Behind the Falls, Butterfly Conservatory, Skylon Tower for lunch, and around Niagara-On-The-Lake. We enjoyed our tour, and plan to come back when the weather is better so we can see more of the beautiful Niagara Falls.

  The actual flight was fast and furious ,There was a pre recorded voice over detailing the sights which for me was hard to hear and repeated itself before the flight finished . The wait for the helicopter was not timed other than the 12 mins flight time and return so depending on how many passengers were waiting before you you could easily wait an hour and a half stood outside in the cold and blasted by the helicopter every time it returned or took off .accessing your flight could be better controlled and guest s given time slots ,so you don't wait inside to keep warm and others jump the queue infront of you . Very chaotic,and no interaction with the pilot, headsets and the pilot doing a commentary would have been a better experience not a pre recorded timed commentary which started replaying before the trip was anywhere near finished .

• Misleading and disappointing

  We booked this package solely for the inclusion of the helicopter ride as it was a surprise trip for 2 out of the 4 in our group, a surprise for their 60th birthdays. I checked ahead of our trip as the weather forecast predicted rain. I was informed that the helicopter was dependent more upon the wind than the rain. Whilst I appreciate no-one has control over the weather, we were absolutely gutted part way through the trip when our guide Edward informed us that the helicopter would not be happening due to the wind. It didn't feel windy on the ground, but I fully appreciate the need to keep us all safe and that our safety was their paramount concern. We were then given a voucher for a helicopter trip with 33% off the list price and were given a partial refund of £74 each. Edward however advised that the helicopter trips would more than likely be going ahead the next day as they had been grounded for a few days and would need to recoup some revenue!!! They did indeed take off the following day, as we could hear them overhead, but on the ground it felt much windier than the previous day so where was health & safety then?? That apart, I don't think we got what was advertised. The main description states you get a 'comprehensive tour of the Canadian side of Niagra'. We literally drove up as far as the waterfalls start and back again, past the power station, hardly compressive. The advert also said we would get lunch in the revolving restaurant of the Skylon Tower. The advert also states it's 3 courses and I opted for 1 vegetarian meal upon booking. However when we got to the Skylon Tower, Edward told us we were going to the summit buffet. When we challenged him, he said 'no, you're going to the summit buffet'. The restaurant was extremely busy as apparently we were expected at 1pm whilst we arrived at 12 noon, presumably because the helicopter had been cancelled. They did however have a seat for us and the buffet wad actually very nice, just not what we were expecting. Upon checking the advert since, I have noticed that in your 'what's included ' section it does mention the summit buffet whereas the main advert mentions the revolving restaurant, very misleading and disappointing. Overall, following the partial refund, I don't think this package offered value for money. It was misleading in it's description and on the whole wecwere left disappointed. If we had booked all the activities separately I honestly believe it would have worked out cheaper. The only good thing about booking this package was the fact we were collected from our hotel and driven round to all the activities. I contacted Viator regarding the partial refund and was just informed that the figure was correct and represents what they were charged for the helicopter element.

  I thoroughly enjoyed this entire tour! The helicopter and boat tours compliment each other perfectly!! I would highly recommend this tour.
