The Underground Railroad, the network that shuttled slaves to freedom, stretched all the way up to the Canadian border. It is estimated that between 30,000 and 100,000 slaves crossed the border to gain their freedom. This tour takes you back to the 19th century, with your guide and others in historical garb, to reveal what the Underground Railroad was like. Hear stories of great intrigue and see many sites that played a pivotal role in giving tens of thousands of people their freedom. This tour also affords you the opportunity to get a regional orientation by combining Underground Railroad sites with general sites of interest (i.e. the Falls) - truly a two for one experience!

Spent a full day with Kevin exploring the history of the Underground Railroad on the USA side of the border. Kevin is extremely knowledgeable and we gained a significant amount of historical perspective through his teaching/guiding us in the region. We were very glad we spent this wonderfully enlightening day with him. Thank you Kevin!

We were told a lot of history that I didn’t know. We rode in a comfy small bus Our guide really had amazing memory that was easy to listen to and stories that kept our interest.

Enjoy the tour guide. He brought a lot of life to history and the struggle of slaves going to Canada for there freedom. He had a lot of knowledge of that time period. I would take the tour again. Thanks

Visiting the McClew farm and seeing the cistern used to hide slaves seeking freedom. The reality of their struggle for what we take for granted hit me so deeply. The depth of their need to be free and what they were willing to do to reach freedom makes your heart beat for them.

This was a great tour. Very informative. Lots of history here. Kevin was extremely knowledgeable and shared some amazing history with me. And we stopped at a great ice cream store by Erie Canal. I highly recommend this tour.

The tour provided lots of valuable information in additional to taking us to site locations. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend it to others that travel to the area. The starting part at the museum was an extra bonus.

Our guide, Kevin, was amazing! He had so much knowledge about the history. He brought it to life. He went out of his way to make this an opportunity for us to see historic and beautiful places, but also to learn while having a great time! I highly recommend any tours with Kevin.
