In Leon, we will see the oldest cathedral in Central America; and don’t forget to get a view from the roof to admire the whole city. Later continue with a walk through the main plaza to visit the childhood house of Poet Rubén Darío, the brightly colored El Calvario and the Recolección churches. We will continue your day with a visit to the Ortiz Gurdián Latin American Art Gallery. Overnight at Leon

Matagalpa at an altitude of 2300 feet above sea level, Matagalpa is al known as the “Pearl of the North “, the country’s fourth largest city, and the largest in the interior.

Selva Negra Farm Tour

n this mostly walking seed to cup tour you will learn much more than just the process of coffee. History, location, climate, topography, sustainable use of byproducts and the social programs are among the many other things you will learn. You will get a chance to visit our nurseries, coffee plantillos where you will learn about shade coffee, organic laboratory where you will learn about organic farming methods. The tour will continue to the picking and weighing of the coffee beans, we will follow the truck back to the wet mill where you will witness the process and end the tour in our museum with a cup of coffee to answer any questions remaining.

Granada

Granada is a Nicaraguan city on the shores of Lake Nicaragua. It’s home to multiple Spanish colonial landmarks that have survived repeated pirate invasions. The city’s main plaza, Central Park, is dominated by the colorful, neoclassical facade of the Cathedral of Granada, originally dating to 1583. The Centro Cultural Convento San Francisco nearby is famed for its displays of pre-Columbian statues

Lake Nicaragua

After breakfast, visit the historic center with its colonial and new classic buildings, followed by a boat excursion between three hundred beautiful islets on Lake Nicaragua, also known as Lago Cocibolca, the largest lake in Central America.

La Laguna de Apoyo

After breakfast, tour to the Catarina outlook (Mirador de Catarina) at the Apoyo Lagoon Nature Reserve and visit to the Indian Ceramic Workshop and School Valentín Lopez at San Juan de Oriente, a town famous for its pottery. Continue to Managua in the afternoon.
