Do Eat Better Experience Nice food tour is a walking tour around Nice old town. You will be guided by a Local Expert, who's able to explain every detail of the selected restaurants, their preparations, and any other relevant curiosities.

During the tour, you will sample different kinds of artisanal olive oil and learn about how they're made. Or how about some classic Nice street food? Try the original socca - a special savory pancake made with chickpea flour, crispy outside and soft inside - and the Pissaladière, an onion tart with olives and anchovies. Or imbibe in typical Provencal wine. And to end the tour with something sweet, try a fresh homemade ice-cream and sweet treats from a local confiserie.

While our guide Leo was friendly and informative we were really disappointed with the food experience. The olive oil shop was closed so we missed it, the wine and charcuterie board was great, but the lunch was just a platter of deep fried touristy fare, the chocolate was lovely and the ice cream was disappointing. We do foodie walking tours where ever we travel around the world so had an expectation of stopping to taste different quality local cuisine as we walked around. This was not what we experienced at all. Check out the other options.

The private walking/ food tour gave us a fantastic overview of the variety of foods popular in Nice. After the 5 stops we indeed were quite satisfied! Rachel was knowledgeable and made us feel quite comfortable in each of the spots.

We began the tour as two couples (all old friends) with our guide Vanessa in the Old Town area of Nice. Vanessa, it should be noted at the outset, was the most enthusiastic tour guide we experienced during our month in France. However, shortly after the tour began, one of us felt ill. Vanessa juggled caring for our sick member, carrying on the tour, and adjusting after the ill person elected to leave the tour. For the remaining three, the food stops were interesting and satisfying, with plenty of food, some of it distinctly local. Vanessa was knowledgeable, conversational and shared the names of her favorite local restaurants.

The tour exceeded expectations. It was well paced. Each stop prepared you for the next stop which was great for engagement and keeping you ready for what's next. The food was also very filling and tasty! Our guide was not only knowledgeable about Nice as a city, but also the food we experienced and the culture.

We enjoyed a fabulous time being introduced to the unique foods and wines of Nice by our guide, Leo. As well as sharing information on the many delights we got to try, Leo proudly shared interesting information about his home city of Nice. The foods and wines were of the highest quality and we were well looked after by the hosts at each venue. A great way to educate your palate on the delights of Nice’s foods and wines. A highly recommended activity for everyone. Leo looked after us extremely well.
