  Absolutely recommend this activity when you are visiting Klaipeda - a wonderful way to see the city from an alternative perspective. The canoes are lovingly and cleverly built by Janis and are all works of art - this helps to create what is a unique and bespoke experience where you can enjoy a safe and rewarding trip under your own steam. From the booking process, through the update emails and to the introduction to the trip, everything is managed with reassuring efficiency and Janis presents a charming and friendly fellow who can be trusted to look after you.   My (adult) daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the night canoe tour. As we didn't have our own vehicle, or know the town at all, we appreciated that Janis picked us up at our hotel. It's important to dress for the weather for this outing. We were fortunate that the warm fall evening provided ideal weather and conditions. The peacefulness of paddling through the calm waters while taking in the stunning city lights reflecting off the surface was incredible. It offered a completely different perspective of Klaipeda. Janis was not only knowledgeable about the area, and great at explaining the basics of canoeing, but also made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the tour. There were only two groups/canoes on this tour, so the introduction and practice paddling went quickly. We were on the water for a little over an hour, which felt like just the right amount of time. It's not a strenuous activity, so it would be suitable for almost anyone. We had plenty of time to take photos and Janis took photos of each group along the way. The canoes and paddles are beautifully hand-crafted by Janis. My daughter said it was the most comfortable canoe she's ever been in. This tour is a must-do for anyone looking to explore the city in a unique and peaceful way. Highly recommended!

  Janis gave us confidence to try our first canoe experience. He is a great instructor: with a few explanations and the right mindset he can make you feel at ease even when you are out of your comfort zone. We definitely recommend this tour!

  Unique view of the Old Town from the water. We met the group around sunset, which in July was around 10PM; Janis provided beautiful cedar strip canoes, good equipment and paddling instruction. With a lighted torch standing in the bow of the canoe, we paddled off to explore the waterway. Make sure you let Janis know if you already know how to paddle a canoe, this can save you some aggravation before launch and get you on the water sooner. The paddle is not really a "guided" tour, you have a route to follow and Janis is never far away, but you can explore independently.

  The preparation to start rowing and succes doing it thanks to the excellent explanations and the instructor gentle manners that lead to enjoy the trip being relaxed. Entering the Jono Kalnis covered with nenuphars under the moonlight and listening some music from some bar in the nearby was may be the best moment. I did it with my granddaughter and if we can we will do it again. Congratulations!

  Great experience, route, timing and overall idea. Canoes are just amazing! As well as it was great to see how much love Janis puts into it. It made the experience even more valuable. Very relaxing and pleasant. Tahnk you!
