I'd give this 6/5 stars if I could—this is the tour to do in Tunisia. I did this as a solo female traveler and took a leap of faith given there were only two reviews. Heres why, thanks to this tour, these were two of the best days of my life. - Firstly, great communication before the tour. I had a lot of questions (safety traveling solo, being vegetarian, etc.) and they responded right away and were so helpful and accommodating. - I can’t say enough great things about my guide, Hachim, and driver, Mohammed. I had a medical issue before the tour started. I was having some issues still after they picked me up, so they brought me to a local hospital and helped translate. I truly can’t express how much it meant to have them there helping me in a scary situation not knowing the language—they really went above and beyond. - When that was over, we continued on the tour. It felt like Hachim knows everyone in Tunisia haha, since everywhere we went we got huge, kind welcomes, hugs, tea, etc.—it was amazing and I'm sure it wouldn’t have been this way if I had tried to go alone or in a different tour group! - The destinations on this tour are mind blowing—it felt like a perfect itinerary. I promise you, every one of these destinations is better than the photos online. Also, when I was there (Jan. 2025), I was one of or the only tourist at each spot. - If you're considering a one-day tour or this two-day one, book the two-day! Ksar Ghilane and the Sahara are stunning. Spending the night means you have time to really appreciate the vastness and beauty of the desert and Ksar Ghilane oasis. I also went quad biking at sunset while there, which I cannot recommend enough—there is nothing like gliding over the red dunes feeling like you have the whole desert to yourself. Unreal. - The camping location was also amazing. It was COLD (felt like 5F if I had to guess) but they started a fire (which we also used to cook delicious Berber bread!) and they had lots of extra blankets to help stay warm in the tent. It was incredible watching the stars in the sky and then waking up to see the sunrise over the desert as well. - The food was amazing at every stop. Hachim and Travel Est Tunisia helped ensure I could have vegetarian meals everywhere we went, which was so kind! - Importantly, it felt like every stop along the way was directly benefiting kind locals and was not overly touristy. Overall, I can’t say enough good things about this tour. I’m writing this detailed of a review to hopefully convince you to book this tour in particular, and to again say thank you to Hachim, Mohammed, the kind and welcoming people I met during these two days, and to Travel Est Tunisia for organizing this!

A great adventure with a great tour guide and driver. We were traveling with a minibus with 2 families. The trip to the Sahara and the Amazir (Berber) villages gave us so many impressions of the country. The trip to Ksar Ghilane is highly recommended. Don't forget swimming clothes for the thermal bath in the oasis. We started from Djerba and I recommend planning the trip with overnight as a 2 day tour. The sunrise in the Sahara is enchanting. Visiting Matmata on the way back gives an impression of the original way of life and is not only worth a visit for Star Wars fans. The trip was a great family experience and the impressions of country and people still have an effect.

My girlfriend and I spent two great days with Mohamed our driver and Taoufik our Guide! The excursion was magical, we discovered typical villages, Tunisian cultures and totally different lifestyles: a real change of scenery! The course was perfect! The night in the desert was simply magical in the middle of the Sahara dunes. The roads are beautiful and Things to do are worthwhile. I highly recommend!
