• Great night tour in Nuevo Arenal!

  Nice fun tour away from the crowds in LaFortuna. Brett and Fernando took us on a lovely 2 plus hour hike in the dark through the jungle. We got to see a few different species of frogs and snakes, along with various insects. We also got a fleeting glimpse of a tapir as it crashed away from us. The trail was manageable for my wife and I who are in our 60s. We didn't see as much as they usually do on other nights, but it's not a zoo. You're going to see whatever animals are around that night. The location link on TripAdvisor doesn't take you to exactly where you need to go. If you put in CRParaiso you will find the gate and the meeting point is down the driveway. The road there is dirt, but our crappy rental made it there without any issues. It was a fun night and Brett and Fernando were fun to talk to. I definitely would recommend this tour over others that are liable to be crowded and noisy. We paused in the dark, and just sat in silence for a few minutes, just listening to the sounds of the forest. It was a beautiful experience. Thanks Brett and Fernando!

  Our family of 5 went on the night jungle tour. Our guide (Brandon?) was pretty entertaining as he seemed just as scared of the creatures of the night as we were. The other guide didn't speak English, but he tried so very hard to find us things to look at like snakes, frogs and spiders. There is no telling what you will see but you will probably see Ricky the horse lurking around a dark corner. These guys worked hard and spent extra time with us, if you go please tip them well. One request - can you send me the family pic that Brendon took of us?
