Pick-up is available from your hotel or any location within the Muscat area.
Your journey begins with a visit to the historic Nizwa Fort and the bustling Nizwa Souq, followed by a stop at the charming Al Hamra village. From there, you'll head up to Jebel Shams, known as the Grand Canyon of Oman, where you’ll enjoy a scenic photo stop at the top (no hiking involved). After taking in the breathtaking mountain views, you’ll drive back to Muscat.
Please note: The Jebel Shams tour is the longest day trip in Oman, offering some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in the country.

Pick up anywhere in Muscat area then drive from Muscat to nizwa will take around 2 hours
Nizwa Souq
Nizwa Souq, a local marketplace that offers a variety of goods including jewelry, pottery, fish, and meats. The list goes on! After, we take off to Al Hamra to visit the village where we get to experience how the locals create a lifestyle in the older times. After this quick tour, we move on to Misfah al Abryeen, a truly pristine village that nestles at the base of Jebel Shams. Here you will get to see the large Falaj water system that supplies water to the nearby vegetation. There are numerous marked footpaths throughout the village that is recommended to take your time and explore.

Special thanks to our Guide Shakir who took us to get us a view of cloudy (snow like) mountains at Jabel Shams , clear waters at Wadi Bani Khalid, Dolphins and Turtles at the Arabian sea , Heritage everywhere , Dunes at the Desert , Mouthwatering delicacies ,people as sweet like the Omani Dates and their coffee!!!

5.00Said Al Kiyumi texted the day before to introduce himself. He arrived promptly in a clean, luxurious, air conditioned car, well stocked with bottled water. On our way to Nizwa he gave us the historical details about the fort and soqu. He’s well spoken, witty and with a good sense of humor. He anticipated our needs and ensured we saw all the sights ; never feeling rushed. We look forward to exploring more of Oman with him. Rosa the booking rep was very helpful and knowledgeable about the trips. Mr. Mohamed, the owner of Oman Sharing Tour also called us to make sure we were pleased with the arrangement and services provided.

5.00This was our second day with Saif, and once again he was an outstanding guide. His knowledge of Oman’s history and landscapes really brought everything to life, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The highlight was Jebel Shams Canyon, but Saif went above and beyond by taking us to a hidden gem in Ad Dakhiliyah that we would never have found on our own. Throughout the drive we really enjoyed talking with him about life and culture in Oman, which made the whole experience even more memorable. On the way back he even treated us to local tea and delicacies, a thoughtful touch that made the day feel really special. He also shared recommendations for places to explore on our next visit, which shows just how much pride he takes in showcasing his country. 5.00We booked this trip the night before and it could not have been more well organised. Ali sent me a message introducing himself and explaining that he would meet us in our hotel lobby at 7am. He was prompt and on time, which immediately put us at ease. We could not have asked for a better tour guide. He was kind, friendly, warm, insightful and very accommodating. Ali explained everything in so much detail, sharing fascinating insights into Oman’s history, traditions and rich culture. He tailored the day to our interests, made sure we were comfortable at all times, and his driving felt safe and reliable. Visiting Nizwa and Jebel Shams was unforgettable – the scenery, the stories, and the little touches Ali added made the day truly special. Ali is simply an asset to the tour company – a wonderful human with a warm heart. We left with not just memories of Oman, but the feeling that we had spent the day with a friend.
