The animal welfare is one of our top priorities, as everyday of being on the oceans it is not a question of the boat, it is actually the crew and their behaviour towards these magnificent creatures, that is what really matters. The Bahriyeli also have Captains have the full extended licences to be able to go further than 3 miles from the harbour, which is extremely useful when the larger whales come past on their migration, or other species of dolphins, turtles and even sharks. Normally our Short finned Pilot whales is what is seen almost every single day, or our resident bottled nose dolphins. We cannot promise what you will see, but what we can promise and fully guarantee, whatever we see our Captain will not chase, harass or bother them, by respecting them you get so much back, and when a whale or dolphin of its own accord comes to the boat, its an amazing feeling and experience that you will never forget. A fully loaded whale and dolphin tour which concentrates on marine life.

Good points The boat felt very safe and steady in the water. We saw a few pilot whales Negative points There was a distinct lack of information or commentary about the sea life. Even though we didn’t see any dolphins, other trips we’ve been on show pictures of the types of dolphins that can be found in the waters off Tenerife and describe them. No mention either of either sea life except to exclaim “oh a jellyfish”. We booked 24hrs before at €25pp only to find out we could have got the trip for €15 on the day. Recommendation: go with Mustcat catamaran out of Las Galletas. We’ve been with them four or five times and regret not going this year.

Really good experience, saw dolphins and whales, very nice crew. Do be careful to arrive early as they do oversell the boat if a previous day was cancelled for bad weather.
