Omaha Beach
We are going to begin this tour early in the morning when we’re going to leave Paris and drive towards Normandy. We’ll stop for a quick stop to have a coffee and a croissant and in max 4 hours we’ll arrive at Pointe du Hoc, where the United States Army Ranger Assault Group assaulted and captured it after scaling the cliffs. Pointe du Hoc was a part of Atlantic Wall fortifications. Then, we’ll take a break at Omaha Beach, the famous beach where the american army landed on 6th of June 1944.

The Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial in France is located in Colleville-sur-Mer, on the site of the temporary American St. Laurent Cemetery, established by the U.S. First Army on June 8, 1944 as the first American cemetery on European soil in World War II

5.00It was a great trip! Our guide’s knowledge of all things European history was impressive. Our transportation was on time, private with only my family & it was air-conditioned! They provided us with cold drinks as well. I wish I could have spent more time in Normandy but only had time for the day trip!
Everyone should take this tour once in their lives.

5.00Doru is an amazing wealth of historical knowledge. We learned so much not only about the events of the Allied Invasion on DDay but about French abs world history. He truly is a born teacher and great driver.

4.00A long day, but worth it. Normandy is something every American should see and we want to go back to see more of Rouen.

5.00We recently returned following a cruise of the British Isles. However, what stands out is the tour we took of Normandy with Doru before our cruise. He is extremely passionate about history and went out of his way to share his thoughts throughout the day. Not only did he show us around the beaches of Normandy and the American Cemetery (very moving, especially at the 75th anniversary), but he also took us to the City of Rouen and the Notre Dame Cathedral and then to see the place of Joan or Arc. This tour really is more of a private tour than anything (limit of 6 people in a very comfortable van). I can't recommend Doru and his tours any stronger. This is my first time ever reviewing a tour (and we travel frequently). Given that I am providing a review three weeks after the actual tour (following our cruise), would indicate how much we appreciate his services on that very special day.
