Omaha Beach was known to be the most difficult military objective when the invasion of Normandy was being planned. In order to be sure that the Allied forces took it the youngest and most foolhardy soldiers were assigned to it, most of them were American. You'll walk on the same sands as them and learn about their acts of heroism and sacrifice.
Overlord Museum - Omaha Beach
Operation Overlord was the code name given to the Allied Invasion of northwest Europe. This museum has an unequaled collection of military equipment that was used to either defend or attack the coast of Normandy. Such as a full-sized authentic Higgins boat, with its front flap down, and impressive Sherman and Panzer tanks.
Take an unforgettable day trip from Paris and visit the Beaches of Normandy where the outcome of WWII was changed for Europe! Join this small group tour of 8 persons max.

Our tour guide was amazing and he knew a lot of history and took us to a few important areas less traveled by tourists

This small-group tour of the Normandy D-Day landing sites was, simply put, a profound and necessary historical experience. If you are seeking a deeply respectful, informative, and manageable way to explore this hallowed ground, look no further than a small-group format. The Power of the Small Group The decision to choose a small-group trip proved invaluable. Our group size allowed for easy navigation, quick transitions, and, most importantly, intimate discussions and personalized attention from the guide. This format fostered a quiet, reverent atmosphere that would be impossible to maintain on a large bus tour. Omaha Beach: The Scale of Sacrifice Our first major stop, Omaha Beach, was breathtakingly sobering. Standing on the vast, quiet sands, it is difficult to reconcile the peaceful modern scenery with the horrific events of June 6, 1944. Our guide excelled here, using detailed maps, photographs, and moving personal anecdotes to bring the chaos of the landing to life. Their expertise allowed us to truly grasp the monumental scale of the task and the immense sacrifices made by the American forces. The visit was given ample time for quiet reflection. Normandy American Cemetery: The Emotional Core The Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial is the emotional heart of this tour. The meticulous rows of white crosses and Stars of David, stretching out perfectly across the bluff overlooking Omaha Beach, are an unforgettable sight. The somber silence of the grounds encourages deep introspection. The guide provided sensitive context about the memorial, the stories of key figures, and the symbolism within the architecture, allowing the sheer human cost of the operation to sink in. We witnessed the flag ceremony, an incredibly moving experience that every visitor should try to see. Expert Guiding and Logistics Our guide was phenomenal—knowledgeable, passionate, and deeply sensitive to the gravity of the sites. They balanced detailed historical facts with respectful commentary, ensuring the focus remained on the courage and sacrifice of the soldiers. The transportation was comfortable, and the itinerary was perfectly paced, allowing enough time at each location without feeling rushed. Conclusion and Recommendation This D-Day Small-Group Day Trip is an absolute must-do for anyone visiting Normandy. It is more than just a tour; it is a pilgrimage. The expert guidance and the small-group setting elevate the experience from a historical outing to a deeply personal and unforgettable lesson in history, sacrifice, and remembrance. Prepare to be moved.

A day at Omaha Beach was a dream my son thought wouldn’t come true. Our tour guide, Etienne, ensured my 10 year old son had an unforgettable day. He was a knowledgeable and compassionate tour guide. And my son was able to relive D Day in a way he’d only imagined. The Cider and Juice tasting was a great addition to the day. Chez Francoius’ pistachio creme brûlée was delish. We truly enjoyed our day in Normandy.

Marie could not have been a better guide. She was so knowledge about the French perspectives on WWII, from pre-WWI through the 1980s and even today. We learned a lot, and were also privileged to experience the closing ceremony at the American Cemetery in Omaha. She is a treasure. Excellent tour.

From pick up to drop off it was a great trip! Meeting spot was convenient. Driver was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and it added we had a great group to travel with. The site itself was emotional and our guide Carlyle gave us great information and respected the enormity of our visit. Very impactful. Special event happened with TAPS being played at the American cemetery. Lunch was fantastic as was the cider visit! Absolutely recommend this trip!

Had a great day with Michael on the D-Day tour. He was very knowledgeable about all things D-Day as well as the surrounding areas. Love that Blue Fox do small group tours in a mini van (not our first time with them). Great driver and kept us safe. The apple cider tasting was excellent, the staff very friendly and the little place had a great atmosphere. Lunch was great too at a very busy restaurant, food and drinks were good and a reasonable price. Visiting Omaha beach was humbling as was the American cemetery and the overlord museum was amazing and a must see.

This tour was interesting and emotional. The tour guide got us to the region safely and back, on a beautiful day. We got lucky with the weather as I hear it can be chilly and windy. He (Etienne) was very nice and accommodating. The lunch spot was not good. Maybe he can find a different restaurant for future tours. We recommend this tour in the small group. It’s a long day, but worth it if you’re interested in history, WWII.
