Omaha Beach
Omaha Beach was known to be the most difficult military objective when the invasion of Normandy was being planned. In order to be sure that the Allied forces took it the youngest and most foolhardy soldiers were assigned to it, most of them were American. You'll walk on the same sands as them and learn about their acts of heroism and sacrifice.
Overlord Museum - Omaha Beach
Operation Overlord was the code name given to the Allied Invasion of northwest Europe. This museum has an unequaled collection of military equipment that was used to either defend or attack the coast of Normandy. Such as a full-sized authentic Higgins boat, with its front flap down, and impressive Sherman and Panzer tanks.
Guaranteed to skip-the-line at the Overlord Museum

Really disappointed with this experience. This tour is by far the most expensive option to choose from, and I expected far better. We went on a Monday, and it was a day that was a bit cold, and snow was expected (though we didn't get any... Only slight rain). I bring that up only because it didn't impact us on the tour, but I think it really impacted our guide. We found ourselves racing through each location, with very little information on what we were looking at. At Pointe du Hoc my girlfriend who had been on a tour with another company years prior was pointing things out to me and the others we met in our group while our guide was walking well in front of us. The Cemetery was really fascinating, but again our guide walked us to the statue location, told us 2 or 3 things of interest, and then left us to wander and said he'd meet us back at the van in 2 hours. We basically spent the time searching Google as we walked around learning some interesting facts. We ran into the other family as we walked around, and they were also very unhappy with the guide's performance. This experience was basically a really expensive ride to Normandy with a guide reading a few highlights from a book...while we turned to Google for most things. Our guide was a very nice person, but needs a lot of help with providing constant information to groups of people. This price point is way too high for what you get. Take a train, and use a different company!

With Augustin as our guide we departed after an early morning coffee and crossaint perfectly on time. As he was raised a short distance from Normandy he had unique insights as to the culture and historcal influences of the region. The Normandy D-Day landing tour and associated sites are so historically pivitol they should be a must visit. I would not be able to do it justice in short comments here. The van ride from Paris went by quickly with one short stop. I wasn't sure about the cider visit going in but meeting Bernard Lebrec and sone and the tastings were excellent. I did bring back some 80 prood Calvados! It is a long day but it goes by quickly and very worth the experience.

So glad we chose this tour. Caesar was an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, friendly, and patient guide (and great driver, too). He helped make our Bucket List goal come true. We saw exactly what was specified along with other, in-between sites, rounding out the humbling D-Day experience. Standing on the beach, walking through the bunkers, and witnessing Taps at the beautiful American cemetery made for outstanding memories. The small group was a plus; no wrangling among hordes of people. This was definitely the highlight of our Paris adventure. Highly recommend.

For our family’s trip to Paris, I was most looking forward to a trip to Normandy. For me this is personal and profound—-my mother was freed from a Nazi concentration camp by Allied troops. If not for the D-Day invasion I would never have been born. I spent close to $1000 for this small group tour, to get to see and learn about various historic sites. I did get to step on the sand on Omaha Beach and learned a lot at the American Cemetery’s museum. While our tour guide was very friendly and familiar with the area, the trip was much more hands-off than I expected . We received a few minute introduction at each stop and then had mostly free time to walk around the sites. I was very disappointed, specifically at the American Cemetery where the guide gave a five minute introduction, followed by two hours to explore on our own. I expected that he would take us around the cemetery, and give us more historical background, interesting facts, soldiers’ stories, and general information beyond his basic summary. We spent a lot of time learning in the museum on our own, but I chose this small group tour to learn from our guide. I am used to very compelling, passionate, insightful tours where I learn a lot from the guide, not on my own. I also want to note that on our drive home in snowy and slushy conditions, our guide was driving too fast and tailgating cars. I know that two other passengers and I were scared. This is unacceptable.

Highly recommend this tour for any history enthusiasts. We learned a lot from our tour guide Augustine about D-day and Normandy history in general. He also made the trip from Paris to Normandy as comfortable as possible. We also enjoyed the cider tasting portion and came home with a few bottles.

What an eye-opening experience. Our guide, Bruno, was great. I would recommend him anytime. Knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, and organized to keep us on track to see all the sites within the allotted time frame. It is a tight schedule, but despite finishing later than planned, he allowed us to see it all! This is a must-see tour for military buffs or novices like me.
