Budget-Friendly Northern Lights Chase – Offers an affordable way to hunt for the Northern Lights while maintaining comfort in a modern, heated bus.
Flexibility to Find Clear Skies – Our route adapts based on weather conditions, sometimes taking us inland, along the coast, or even into Finland to maximize the chances of seeing the aurora.
Transparency About Challenges – We prioritize finding clear skies over scenic locations due to increased road traffic. Stops may be alongside roads, but our goal is to provide the best possible view of the Northern Lights.
Comfort with Realistic Expectations – The bus offers warmth, though it may cool down on particularly cold nights. Guests are encouraged to dress in warm layers for added comfort.
Guided by Experts – Knowledgeable guides provide insights and help with photography, ensuring a memorable experience.

This is a group tour with a maximum of 50 guests.
Our tour operates in all weather conditions. We often see the best Northern Lights displays on nights with the worst forecasted weather conditions.
This is a real chase that may include many hours of driving. The return time to Tromsø is between midnight and 04:00
There are no refunds or free trips if we do not see the Northern Lights or if you fail to meet us at the meeting point on time.
We require a minimum of 15 participants. In the rare event that a tour needs to be cancelled, a full refund will be provided.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Special thanks to Alex, our guide and photographer, Sara, the assistant, and the driver for their great effort and professionalism. The trip was perfectly organized from beginning to end. They were kind, helpful, and truly dedicated to giving us the best chance to see the Aurora. The photos were beautiful and the atmosphere was wonderful. Thank you for an unforgettable 5-star experience. Highly recommended!

5.00It was absolutely breathtaking. I had so much fun. Our tour guides (Marc & Ivana) were very friendly and also patient. I enjoyed the many stories they told. This experience was a “once in a lifetime” thing but i truly hope i get to do it again.

5.00Ivana, Jefta, Soraia, Nicolae & the Team at Chasing Lights did a great job of getting us to a great location (about 90mins south of Tromso) to see a spectacular Northern Lights show. The night was COLD and we were outside for about 5hrs in the end but that was because the show was really amazing and visible for all that time- so it was well worth it! The team did a great job of keeping the energy of the group up, taking fab pictures for us all and explaining what we were looking at and why the phenomenon happens. I would definitely recommend this tour and these guides :)

5.00The experience was amazing! The guides were so helpful, informative, and engaging. They took us to the mainland of Norway, to find the exact spot where the lights were active. They took amazing photos from each one of the group for free, they prepared us warm drinks and cookies in the middle of the trip, they lit fire and made us feel comfortable and happy the whole time. Everything they mentioned went according to plan. We had a fantastic experience with great and passionate professionals.

5.00It was an incredible experience. The aurora boreal appeared in the first minutes and remained with us all the time with beautiful shapes and colors. The whole team was perfect. Friendly and super professionals, helping us with photos and facts about the natural phenomenon. Thanks for the unforgettable trip!

5.00Everything was perfect, the guides were super friendly and told us stories and facts about the auroras and took awezome pics! We drove around 2hs and got clear skies next to the finnish border. Got to see the northern lights with a fire and a hot drink with cookies. The northern lights are otherworldly, cant say much more about these 😍. Thank you guys :)
