Picking you up by car, we will leave the city lights far behind and go to a location with a magnificent view of the starry sky. Our guide will prepare an open fire for you where we can rest and cook Lappish sausages. As we sit in the crisp air while the fire crackles near us, your guide will tell us interesting facts, myths, stories and answer any questions you have about Finnish life and life in the north. In warm cottage we will show you a video about Northern lights and tell stories about life in Lapland

Our guides will be equipped with high quality cameras to take photos of your experience

We are happy to offer advice on aurora photography if you bring your own camera

A brilliant evening, with guides who were honest and knowledgeable about their stuff I.e. the Northern Lights. Lovely old lappish cottage where we could warm up and await the phenomenon that is the Aurora Borealis. An absolutely incredible evening and the lights are awesome

Great tour, we could enjoy a wonderful time by the lakeside in the forest, with a kind and knowledgeable guide explaining the aurora. Our guide Andrey was very friendly and explained many things to us. In a historic cottage, warm drinks are served, and while waiting for the aurora you can enjoy grilled sausages and marshmallows by the campfire. The atmosphere is excellent and I highly recommend this experience.

The tour went smoothly and was as described. Picked up from our hotel (in Rovaniemi) on time and it took about 30 minutes to get to the cottage. The cottage overlooks a lake which was frozen and covered in snow. It was a lovely clear night but unfortunately the aurora were not out. I'm sure you would see them from this location if they were. It was handy having the cottage as it was a very cold night and its a useful place to pop into to warm up. You get a sausage and mashmallows that are prepared on an open BBQ outside. The guide was helpful and friendly. There is another tour operator next door but that didn't impact us. The guide takes some photographs that they share.

We really enjoyed this trip, I booked it because there was shelter for my children (it was -23' when we went). We were picked up by Dimitri and drove 30km to the lakeside house. Once there we walked out onto the frozen lake and Dimitri started to check for aurora on his camera. There was activity and it was picked up better on the camera than the naked eye but we got a great photograph to top off our week in Lapland. We had hot drinks and cookies and the children were given marshmallows and skewers to toast on the outdoor fire. We also had BBQ sausage and were emailed a link to the photographs (free) after the trip. A good excursion, thank you Dimitri.

Our guide was excellent. We saw a bit of the lights on this trip. (Nature's will , nothing the guides can do about this, they were great). The booking process less so. They will only send an email for the pickup time of the activity the day you book (we never received this mail btw). So if you book month(s) ahead of time you won't receive any reminders or emails about the pickup time closer to your activity. If you get a mail when you book, save it!

We go to an old cottage near a frozen lake to see the beautiful Northern lights. The guide was great and we also enjoyed some snacks such as corn.

What a lovely evening trip out to see the northern lights! Our guide was very prompt in picking us up, told us lots of interesting information about Rovaniemi and aurora borealis. The location was lovely and the fire was very welcoming. We even had photos taken for us and sent later which was a great touch. Thank you again for a memorable time!

Andrei was an amazing guide!! We got to see the northern lights and enjoy a hot drink and sausage. He was passionate about teaching us and telling us about Finland and nature.

Fantastic tour! Andre was a wonderful guide; not only did he find the Northern Lights for us he also gave us loads of interesting facts and information about the local area. our group thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would recommend!
