We invite you out to our Aurora camp along with professional guides where we will have a great vantage point of the Aurora Borealis. A visit to the dog yard and the puppies is of course also included.

If you are traveling with small children/infants and require a guaranteed car seat, you must bring your own or arrange for your own transportation. We cannot guarantee the availability of child seats in our transport.

The tour is sold as a complete package with all services included. Using your own transport is optional, but the price remains the same. Activity cannot be guaranteed in case of late arrival.

We invite you to our Aurora Camp, where our professional guides will host you for the evening. Above our center, located 30 minutes away from Tromsø and the city lights, the night sky is dark and well suited for northern lights watching. While you wait for the lights to appear, your guide will give you some insight into the natural phenomenon Aurora Borealis. You can also cuddle with our 300 huskies and their puppies and learn about the dog sled racing, breeding and animal welfare on a guided tour of our kennel. Our thermal suits and boots will keep you warm in the arctic winter night! In our cozy Gamme-hut dinner will be served around an open fire. Try Bacalao, a traditional Norwegian fish dish with Portuguese roots made from regional produce (vegetarian option is available upon preliminary request) and a piece of our signature chocolate cake. While you eat, your guide will keep a close eye on the sky and inform you about any Aurora activity! After dinner there is time to watch the northern lights, take pictures and say goodbye to the dogs, before we head back to Tromsø. This tour does not include dog sledding.

Amazing experience! Such a unique experience, friendly staff, lovely dogs and just an amazing set up! Don’t be put off by the price as it’s 100% worth it, and the staff are so passionate about the huskies and looking after them!

This was an amazing experience from start to finish. We saw the Northern Lights immediately, which was an absolute bonus. Then they took us in to pet ALL the dogs. The handlers are all so knowledgeable and taught you all about them. Next we had a lovely dinner (vegetarian option was so good). Finally we went out by a campfire to admire the lights and the guides gave a talk about them as well. Obviously, the northern lights aren’t a guarantee, but this would have been worth it without them.

Absolute must do. We were lucky to see the Northern Lights! Getting to play with the dogs under the Lights was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had.

As part of an escorted tour we visited here on two consecutive nights. The first night was an awesome visit to meet the Huskies and their puppies. The staff were really friendly, particularly Nadine. The sledding in the snow was truly brilliant and a real wow experience. Our musher was extremely friendly and informative. Hot juice drinks afterwards were welcome. Outer clothing and boots were also appreciated. The second night was also to meet Huskies but primarily to see the Northern Lights. We were fortunate enough to see the Aurora. An absolute wow again. Fish soup, focaccia bread and chocolate cake followed by toasted marshmallows was gorgeous. An absolute must do!!

Kids had great time visiting the huskies. Also did marshmallows around campfire and sledding down a hill, which was a highlight. Went for a walk through trees, idyllic. daughter loved the puppies. Didn’t see northern lights but it was a snowy, cloudy night. Equipment was great (snowsuits and boots provided) and well organised.

A really magical evening, spent a lot of time meeting the husky’s, admiring the views (and incredible northern lights!) great views and then finishing off with marshmallow toasting

We visited the centre at 7pm with a view to seeing the Northern lights. Upon arrival we were met by the fantastic team there who let's us play with the working husky dogs until the first sight occurred. As soon as that happened the lights were turned off and we able to enjoy and awesome 60 minute light show. We were so lucky as of course there is no guarantee that the Northern lights will be seen, but we had a spectacular show. After that we were treated to hot drinks and a delicious local delicacy. A fish stew. Following that we moved the viewing terrace when we ate marshmallows over an open fire. Sadly the lights did not return but we had a superb evening and one we will.never forget.

Had a wonderful visit with the Alaskan husky dogs and a fantastic visit from the northern lights! Vera and Roberto were very helpful with the dogs and the dinner and the accommodations. Linda and Slavomir were particularly helpful making pictures during the aurora borealis light show, and afterwards, too. The next day, we did self sledding with the husky dogs and this was fantastic and such a treat. The dogs are so comfortable being around humans and they sure do pull that sled well! Overall, a fantastic visit to the Tromsø wilderness center. Highly recommend.
