Join our small group Northern Lights tour!
In a small group with a max of 15 people we’ll take you to the spots with the clearest sky, take professional pictures and offer help on how to set up your own camera. Photos will be shared with you by email. If you need a tripod we also got it for you!
To keep you warm during the tour we have thermal suits and warm boots. Later on, we're going to enjoy the cozy atmosphere around a bonfire, have sausages, warm drinks and cookies.

Before the tour starts, our guide will analyse the weather conditions in order to predict the best spots for the Northern Lights show. Once we find the perfect spot, we will set up a bonfire and begin to capture the spectacle on camera.

5.00Tromsø: Expert Aurora Hunt - Thermal Gear, Food, Campfire by Northern Horizon Pick up point was easy to find. Our guide Harry greeted us onto our minibus, he was welcoming and informative, a VERY talented astrophotographer and very passionate about the norther lights and night sky. We had a lovely small group of us on a minibus, with a great driver called Peter. A quick 50 minute drive took us out to a fjord beach where the skies were clear, and where immediately the aurora came out to play. We were provided with snow suits to keep us warm and Harry took lots of photos of the tour attendees throughout the evening. We were very lucky to be on the tour when the biggest solar storm in 20 years took place. We experienced something very very special in the sky that no one could have expected. The tour cannot make the norther lights happen or be more visible, this is nature, the tour can only take you to clear skies. When thick fog started to come up the fjord, just before the huge solar storm was due to arrive, Harry & Peter whisked us away to a better location so we were once again under clear skies to see the awe inspiring event that took place above us, seeing beautiful coronas and red auroras. We then had a lovely bonfire on the beach, tended to responsibly, keeping us warm and well fed with reindeer sausages, and Christmas tea and hot chocolate, and telling us stories of ancient Vikings. Eternally grateful to Harry for sharing his passion and a wonderful experience with us, that was a trip of a lifetime. We were out for around 7/8 hours. We received Harry’s amazing photos of the tour the very next day, and they were incredible.

5.00Hat off to Max and Bart. Amazing team and so knowledgeable. Great sniwsuits to keep us warm alongside sausages (veggie supplied too) and hot chocolate and tea. Lucked out on seeing aurora too before clouds came in

5.00Max was fantastic!! He was enthusiastic, positive and helpful with people who especially needed help with the terrain. It wasn’t just about the lights. He had much more to offer!! We had a little fire with reindeer sausage, drinks and even a treat. We were out from 5:30 pm to 2am! Mother nature prevented us from seeing the lights but it did not seem like wasted time.

We had almost lost hope of seeing the Northern Lights becauseof the weathercondition, but thanks to the incredible efforts of the team, everything changed. A very special thank you to Max and our driver Rafael — their professionalism, dedication, and teamwork made all the difference. Max’s passion and enthusiasm for the Northern Lights were contagious. His clear explanations, knowledge, and constant encouragement kept our spirits high throughout the night. Because of their commitment and positive energy, we ended the night with big smiles, an unforgettable memory, and the magical sight of the aurora dancing in the sky. 4.00Although it was cloudy and we did not see the northern lights it was not for lack of trying. We actually drove in the Finland twice. It was a good time regardless and we got to roast reindeer sausage around a fire and drink hot chocolate. The scenery as we drove around was beautiful. We had a good time.

5.00Great experience! Our guide Max was a geologist and super experienced. He checked all the dates and probabilities and led us to the perfect spot in the end. He took professional photos before us and ended up with sausages over the campfire. Unforgettable!
