5.00We traveled to Norway from the US for the sole purpose of seeing the Northern Lights, so there was a lot riding on this tour. From the get-go, Harry (our guide) gave us confidence that we'd see the lights, and he did not disappoint. We witnessed them dancing across the sky over and over again. Words can't really capture the experience. The closest I can come is to say that it was phenomenal, magical, and surreal. Both Harry and our driver (whose name I've sadly forgotten) were incredibly kind and attentive, and there were so many special touches. We actually did another (larger bus) tour the following night, so I can make a direct comparison. While that tour was also wonderful, it can't hold a candle to the more intimate, high-touch experience we had with Northern Horizon. The biggest difference was the location. With Northern Horizon, we were in a quiet, secluded spot full of trees and protected from the wind. We even felt comfortable lying down in the snow to look at the sky. With the larger tour, we were literally on the side of a busy road. The display was still beautiful, but it was disrupted at times by headlights and it lacked the serenity of our first experience. I honestly cannot recommend the Northern Lights tour with Northern Horizon highly enough. It was an unforgettable experience.
We went out on Friday November 28, 2025 and we went to three locations were we could see the lights at every spot.

5.00This experience was truly once in a lifetime. Our guide made all the difference, he was so passionate about his work and dedicated to making this the best possible experience. He was so committed to sharing the science and history behind the lights and was so kind. I would recommend Max over and over again to anyone and everyone. He was the best guide I could ask for!!!

5.00From the get go Max (our guide) was extremely nice! He kept us informed throughout the trip, and we were able to catch some aurora at our very first stop! 5.00Our experience with Northern Horizon was absolutely incredible. Our guide, Harry, was exceptionally attentive and did everything possible to make sure we had the best chance of seeing the aurora, even though the conditions weren’t ideal at first. The whole trip felt extremely safe with out driver Dominic and well-organized. The company provided proper clothing for the extreme cold, which made a huge difference. The snack they offered was delicious, with a great vegetarian option, amazing hot chocolate, and an incredible tea. Spending time around the campfire chatting with the group was such a special moment. And the best part: we were able to fulfill our dream of seeing the Aurora — and we even got stunning professional photos to remember it forever. I highly recommend Northern Horizon to anyone looking for a magical and trustworthy Northern Lights experience!

5.00Best experiences of my life! We got lucky to see the awesome show of light. The driver and Harry were amazing, they were always looking for all the people. Harry was always explaining the science of the auroras and the routes we were going to take to have the best possible place to see the auroras. I love that you can ask him to take professional photos of you under the aurora. At first, the length might seem a lot, but it's totally worth it! This tour is best for adventurous people, but everyone can do it; they give you thermal overalls and boots!

5.00The trip was magnificent! Our tour guide Harry and driver Dominic were fantastic! Harry is extremely knowledgeable and put us in a fantastic spot! The evening was simply stunning! The reindeer sausage is some of the best I’ve eaten of any variety. The hit chocolate was tasty and needed as it was very cold! The cold suits come in handy, use them! I cannot recommend this tour enough! 5 stars!

5.00Harry was a brilliant guide, he explained what was happening, some great info about the aurora, shared brilliant photography tips, and of course, found us the aurora. Portrait photos in front of the aurora, campfire snacks and your comfort as a priority. This tour is a must.

5.00First class tour. Our guide Harry and our driver were very knowledgable and professional. They combined to deliver an unforgettable night of aurora watching. Yes, you have to get lucky (weather, solar activity) to see a spectacular aurora show like we did, but put yourselves in the company of real pros like these people who will increase your chances of success and create wonderful memories.

5.00It was an amazing experience. It was snowing in Tromso and the guides managed to find a perfect place to admire the Northern Lights. We were lucky to see them moving and dancing in the starry sky. Many thanks to Harry and the driver, they are passionate and very friendly people.

5.00We had to wait a long while before the aurora came out to play but the guide Harry and the driver Dominik were just wonderful, knowledgeable and funny people! They made sure we were comfortable and tried everything to have the best chance to see the northern lights! Harry is also a great photographer and thanks to him we have great memories of a memorable night! (The photo's uploaded are only a few of the amazing photo's he took on this trip for the guests )
