This full-day adventure begins with a scenic boat ride to the stunning Los Arcos Marine Park, where you'll snorkel in island waters teeming with vibrant marine life. Explore the fascinating underwater world at this iconic archipelago of rock formations.
Next, the coastline south of Los Arcos features towering cliffs covered in dense jungle, beautiful beaches only accessible by boat, and hidden coves, in season you might spot dolphins or humpback whales.
We arrive at the charming coastal village of Quimixto, nestled in lush jungle surroundings. A short guided easy hike through tropical forest trails leads you to the breathtaking Quimixto Waterfall. Cool off in the refreshing natural pool beneath the cascading falls or simply soak in the serene atmosphere.
The final stop of the day is Las Animas, a picturesque beach paradise. Relax on the golden sands, swim in the turquoise waters, or enjoy a delicious meal at a beachfront restaurant.

The tour begins at the small yet vibrant Mismaloya Beach, surrounded by lush green mountains and rocky cliffs. Friendly, bilingual guides and boat captains greet guests at the shore. They offer a safety briefing and an overview of the itinerary, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and excited. Guests step aboard their tour boat equipped with essentials like life jackets, snorkeling gear, and beverages. The tour starts with the guide introduces the fascinating story of The Night of the Iguana (1964), the Tennessee Williams play-turned-Hollywood film, directed by John Huston.
Los Arcos de Mismaloya
As you set off, you'll cruise along the stunning coastline of the Bay of Banderas. Your guide will point out notable landmarks, local wildlife, and share the history of the area, including its fame from movies like Night of the Iguana. A short ride brings you to the Los Arcos Marine Park, a cluster of granite islands rising dramatically from the sea. These arches, caves, and rocky outcroppings are teeming with life, both above and below the water. The unique shapes of the rocks, some with natural archways, make for fantastic photo opportunities. Slip into the warm waters and snorkel in a vibrant underwater world. The marine park is known for its crystal-clear visibility and thriving ecosystem, home to: Tropical fish (angel fish, puffer fish, parrotfish) Rays and eels Coral formations. The islets are also home to various bird species, such as pelicans, blue-footed boobies, and frigatebirds. Their nests on the rocky cliffs make for fantastic photo opportunities.

5.00Jason from Mismaloya Xtreme was fantastic to deal with. We met him on the beach our second day of our trip. We wanted to take a boat ride out to the los Arcos and do some snorkeling he provided us a very reasonable price for an hour and a half and also instead of taking us out that day he recommended that we wait a couple of days and the ocean would be a lot calmer and it would be a better experience. We appreciated the fact that he wasn't out to get money from us but to provide us a memorable experience for our family. He didn't disappoint. We enjoyed it so much we messaged Jason on our second to last day of our trip and asked him if he had any other excursions he could recommend and he took my family of four on a boat tour further south of Mismoloya and showed us some of the smaller private beaches only accessible by boat and gave us great information about the area and it's history. He took us to a small village where we were greeted by his team and they gave us an atv ride up to the waterfall where my kids and I got to enjoy swimming and taking in all the scenery that this little gem of a place had to offer. We got a tour of the village on the way back on the atvs and we finished off by Jason taking us to another small community on a different beach where we had one of the best tacos we've ever had. Jason is hands down the best tour guide we've ever had and whether you're staying in PV or closer to Mismoloya, you will not be disappointed by him or his team in delivering an experience that you and your family will remember forever.

5.00I don’t even know where to start, from hiking to a water fall, seeing dolphins, whales, and the history/agriculture we learned on this trip I would give 10 stars if I could. Jason is very bilingual so asking questions and getting information was easy, which is a plus since my Spanish is rusty. He taught us about where to cliff jump, where to eat, and how to be overall safe and have an amazing time! I will be coming back to see you guys! Thanks so much Jason, and carlos! Gracias! 💕

5.00Jason and Carlos were such great guides. They made the day with their personal stories and fun facts about the area. Jason was so knowledgeable about the area took great care of us on our adventure. The trip was totally personalized to what we wanted and for a great price!!!! Would use Jason and his company for every water adventure.

5.00Jason was an amazing captain and tour guide! we got to snorkel, see dolphins and whales, hike, cliff jump, swim in the ocean and a waterfall pool, and go to a restaurant for lunch. They share cool history facts about the area and were so helpful getting in and out of the boat every time. I absolutely recommend Jason's company for doing all or some of these things. bring drinks and pesos and have so much fun!

5.00Really amazing tour! So much to see and do. We were met almost as soon as we stepped out of the taxi by Jason, the tour manager. He was warm, friendly and insured we had all the info. we needed for our experience. Then he turned us over to our guide Sebastian and and boat driver Arnold. Both were beyond excellent! They went with us every step of the way. They were very helpful and full over great info. about all the things we were seeing and could do. The best part was there was really no set time for how long we would spend at each location we visited. We could stay as long or as short as we wished. This really helped make it a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable trip. Highly recommended!

5.00We had a group of 10, and we all agree it was one of The best days of our lives!!! Ivan was our tour guide and we couldn’t have asked for more a fun nice guy ever!! Something about being on a boat, with a small group exploring the tropical coastline of Puerta Vallarta, breathtaking! Some of us did a “rock” jump into crystal clear waters, and the ATV ride was incredible (especially through the rivers and a quick jaunt across the sand on the ocean) Beautiful waterfall, ending up with a fabulous margarita on the beach!!! Thank you so much for an amazing day! Pick up right on the beach of Mismaloya, beside the Barcelo… couldn’t ask for anything more!!
