Guests come from many countries and many only have a small opportunity to visit the reef. The vessel will operate in all weather conditions (apart from gale force and severe weather warnings) and has extra procedures to make the day the best possible. If you are concerned about the weather, please visit www.bom.gov.au cairns coastal report - it will give you a 4 day forecast. 10-20 knots is a normal good day. Date of travel can be changed subject to availability and also full refund if cancelling with minimum 24hrs notice. Our vessels are open air with good boat movement so less likely to suffer seasickness than some other closed vessels however, if prone to motion sickness we recommend taking travel sickness tablets 20 minutes before boarding the vessel.

If intending to take part in diving all divers (whether certified or introductory diver) will be required to fill out a diving medical questionnaire on board. If diving is an important option for you, please advise if you have any medical issues (past or present) or taking any medications so we can advise if any QLD diving medical clearance is required. Some medical conditions and medication may preclude you from diving. It is imperative for your safety that you answer the questions on the form truthfully.

Overall a great experience. We recommend eating prior to getting on the boat, they will have some fruit for you and small pastries, but could use a little more to get you to lunch. In the afternoon they have plenty of snacks/desserts available. The guides were extremely knowledgeable, patient, and fun to be around. We went to 2 spots and got to dive and snorkel, our guides (Yaya and Archie) did a great job of going at your comfort level and pointing out marine life. They even gave us some great recommendations for dinner/local spots in Cairns. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone considering snorkeling/diving the Great Barrier Reef. Thank you Yaya, Archie, and the rest of the crew on Ocean’s Freedom!

Staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We got lucky with our weather and saw plenty of sea life, a few turtles, sharks, nemos and even one octopus.

My favourite cruise, my favourite way to reset. Everything is great about this. Starting from how it's organised and ending with the incredible reef experience. Great crew - knowledgeable, friendly, helpful. Delicious food! The equipment - everything fits perfectly, not struggle with masks or fins, helps a lot :) The snorkeling spots are beautiful 😍 One great day to remember until the next time. Thank you very much for the much needed positive senses, feelings and emotions! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Great experience.. small group on the boat.. all staff were super friendly and helpful. Kids had an awesome time snorkeling at both stops. I struggled at the first stop as never snorkeled before. At the next stop the staff guided me and I managed to snorkel.. it was beautiful, saw a big green turtle and even a stingray tail (hiding under coral). Food was amazing and service was top notch. Definitely recommend.

Incredible day out - cannot praise the Ocean Freedom team highly enough! We booked the tour + 2 introductory scuba dives experience, and it was well worth it. It was my partner's first scuba dive, and he was quite nervous as he isn't a strong swimmer, however dive instructor Tom was excellent at clearly explaining the plan and guiding us through the dive. The wider crew were also excellent - always on hand to check in on your safety, make sure you are enjoying yourself and talk you through the day. The food was also plentiful and excellent throughout the day - 10/10!
