Please note: All DIVERS will be required to complete a medical questionnaire on board prior to diving. Please only book the diving options if you have no medical conditions or taking medication as some conditions/medication preclude you from diving
Guests come from many countries and many only have a small opportunity to visit the reef. The vessel will operate in all weather conditions (apart from gale force and severe weather warnings) and has extra procedures to make the day the best possible. If you are concerned about the weather, please visit www.bom.gov.au cairns coastal report - it will give you a 4 day forecast. 10-20 knots is a normal good day. Date of travel can be changed subject to availability and also full refund if cancelling with minimum 24hrs notice. Our vessels are open air with good boat movement so less likely to suffer seasickness than some other closed vessels however, if prone to motion sickness we recommend taking travel sickness tablets 20 minutes before boarding the vessel.
If intending to take part in diving all divers (whether certified or introductory diver) will be required to fill out a diving medical questionnaire on board. If diving is an important option for you, please advise if you have any medical issues (past or present) or taking any medications so we can advise if any QLD diving medical clearance is required. Some medical conditions and medication may preclude you from diving. It is imperative for your safety that you answer the questions on the form truthfully.

After check-in board the vessel, grab a coffee, a Danish pastry, fresh fruit & settle in. After just over an hour we arrive at our first Great Barrier Reef destination - the beautiful "Wonder Wall " on the outer edge of Upolu reef. Snorkel, SCUBA (extra) this stunning Great Barrier Reef site teaming with fish and marine life. Experience an informative complimentary Glass Bottom Boat & Adventure Drift Snorkel tour with our very attentive guides. After a morning of activities enjoy a large scrumptious lunch as we cruise to Upolu Cay. Snorkel this "coral garden" tropical oasis - look out for turtles & sting rays! When conditions allow you can even land on this glistening white coral Cay! Enjoy six hours of snorkelling, relaxing between these 2 uniquely different reef sites. After a magical day we return to Cairns serving fresh fruit, cheese and crackers and cake arriving back in Cairns by around 4.15 pm . 5.00Wonderful day out! Check-in process was clear abd webt smoothly. Took about 45min for the bost ride back and forth. We were able to snorkel at 3 differents area throughout the day + glass bottom tour (20min). The staff were very kind and for those who aren’t comfortable snorkeling by themselves, you can just follow the diver as they’ll also show you the best spots as well! Even if you’re comfortable snorkeling, they’ll show you the ‘must see’. Weather was warm and we didn’t feel rushed at all. Lunch was a cold food buffet, would have enjoyed some hot meals (details). After the activity, we were offered a variety of snacks (fresh fruits, cookies/cheese, cakes). The day went very fast and we had a blast! The great reef barrier is nit as colorful as I imagined but it is known for its diversity of species abd size more than its color. Would recommend to anyone who would like to experience the great reef barrier.
This trip is a must!

5.00We had an amazing day from start to finish, staff were all knowledgeable and helpful and seemed to genuinely love what they do. It was a very well oiled machine. The food started as soon as we got on board and something was always available to snack, and trays brought round in the way home.

5.00What an amazing experience! Communication in advance was great and check=in was very easy. The crew was fantastic! As advertised we had a good amount of time on the reef. We only snorkeled but there were several people who chose to dive as well. The crew clearly took safety seriously and made sure we all knew what we needed to know to be safe and to enjoy the experience. I appreciated the guides in the water with us pointing out various things to see throughout the day. They said we had 62 people but it didn't even feel like that many! It felt like a small group. I particularly appreciated the "advanced" option to take the glass-bottom boat out with a smaller group of us and then snorkel/swim back to the big boat with a guide so we could see more. A word of advice - if you are at all prone to motion sickness/sea sickness, take something preventative beforehand (they had some on board for purchase or you can get it at local pharmacies). I thought I'd be okay and despite it being a relatively calm day I wished I had taken it that morning (it didn't detract from the experience at all but I am prone to that and should have taken it when they offered it that AM). Would 100% do a tour with this group again.

5.00What a superb adventure. Wonderful crew led by Mike and his team including Storm & Julian (I believe). The girls working on the cruise were equally good (just can’t recall their names!). One even made a special effort to point out an amazing fish and bird-life feeding frenzy. The snorkeling was great. Plus there was a glass bottom boat trip. If you wanted to scuba dive you could (even as a first timer). The food was excellent..can you really eat that much salmon and prawns?! An unforgettable day. Even the cruising itself is worthwhile!

5.00Wow. This was an exceptional experience from start to finish. I went on both the Green Island/Reef (Ocean Free) and the 6-hour on the Reef (Ocean Freedom) cruises. The staff were extremely professional, friendly, and helpful. Anna, Ollie and Mike were knowledgeable, supportive, and excellent teachers (Ollie - for my first dive). HIGHLY recommend this. Best investment you can make for seeing the Great Barrier Reef.

5.00What an experience from start to end. The crew were amazing friendly and knowledgeable about the reef. Snorkeling was so much fun and we were able to see such a large variety of wildlife including sea turtles. We were provided coffee and pastries as we set out, a delicious buffet lunch and cheese and fruit for the trip home. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to experience the magnificent Barrier Reef. Even novice snorkler like myself. Always had the crew nearby if you needed them, making you feel very safe. Thank you guys will definitely be joining you again when we head down under again.

5.00Our experience with Ocean Freedom was truly one of a kind. The tour was fantastic from start to finish and absolutely worth doing. This was our first time snorkeling, and the crew gave us such personalized attention that we felt completely comfortable and supported throughout. The pace and logistics of the whole day were flawless, and the boat was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. I also did the introductory dive, which turned out to be an incredible experience. We got to see turtles, clownfish, a baby shark, and so many beautiful reef fish up close. It was unforgettable. The entire crew was wonderful—welcoming, knowledgeable, and extremely accommodating. I honestly cannot thank them enough for making this such a special day. The food and snacks provided were great as well. Everything was amazing from the moment we stepped on the boat until the moment we left. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cairns!
