  The water was so rough it was hard to enjoy. Our catamaran was small and I think it would have been better to be on a larger vessel. Crew was decent. First location had lots to see but second location did not. The coffee, tea and cocoa they served was unappealing. Hygiene is questionable but the food was plentiful.

  Early in the morning we came aboard the catamaran. The crew was super friendly. There was coffee, tea, fruit and particles for breakfast. Mary then very nicely instructed us in the boat. Then there was a round of pills for seasickness because the sea was a bit rougher that day. On the 1-hour drive to the outer reef, this was also useful. Nevertheless, this did not help everyone and so the crew took care of every seasick person very lovingly. The guys gave a very detailed introduction to diving and then it started. Always two beginners with a diving instructor disembarked. Underwater cameras were no problem, we have experienced this differently. Between dives you could get water, coffee and tea for free, other drinks you could buy. Lunch was plentiful and delicious. Cold buffet with chicken, shrimp, salads and bread. After that you could dive or snorkel again. Unfortunately, the water was a bit cloudy because of the weather but that's just nature. We still saw a lot of beautiful things in the reef. In the afternoon we had fresh fruit and cracker with cheese. The crew was always in a good mood and told a lot of interesting things along the way. An all-round successful day with great people! We would do this tour again and again and can highly recommend it!

  Amazing staff, they are really safety conscious which was comforting given the choppy conditions. Even though we had rough weather the reef was amazing and we saw heaps of fish Would definitely go with these again.

  The crew made a fun experience out of a stormy day. The waves were rocking but they adapted and set up a drift boat for us to still enjoy snorkeling. The crew was knowledgeable and professional in and out of the water. The food was great and plentiful. The seasickness meds did the job. Thanks for a fun day despite the weather conditions.

  The entire scuba experience was wonderful! I hadn’t been in the water for years? Don’t let that stop you!!! Paul, the dive instructor was WONDERFUL !!! Take the bigger boat so you can see the better part of the reef if possible…Green Island is not really that exciting….

  We had an incredible family day out on the Ocean Freedom from Cairns, exploring the stunning Great Barrier Reef with our two kids (6-year-old and our 12-year-old). The smaller boat made it feel wonderfully intimate—not overcrowded like some big tour operators—giving us plenty of space to relax and enjoy the views. The staff were standout: super friendly, engaging with the kids, and packed with fascinating facts about the reef's ecosystem and marine animals we spotted, like colorful fish and turtles. Lunch and snacks were great—fresh, tasty buffet options that satisfied everyone, including picky young eaters. With calm waters, easy snorkeling gear for beginners, and that personal touch, it's our top pick for families wanting a memorable Reef experience without the crowds.   What made this experience truly unforgettable was the kindness and patience of two young crew members. One had a beautiful gold nose piercing, and the other had lovely short curly blonde hair. They stayed with me in the water, pulled the flotation ring, guided me gently, and helped me remain calm while snorkeling. Actually this was my first time snorkeling, and I actually cannot swim. I also became quite seasick after arriving at the reef and spent a lot of time feeling unwell and vomiting. Thanks to their support, I finally learned how to breathe through the snorkel and was able to properly look underwater and see the Great Barrier Reef for the first time. It was an incredible feeling.

  Amazing experience with the team. Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable it felt like you were cruising with friends. Highlight of the day was swimming with a green turtle and meeting some cute clown fish. Also saw a stingray, trevali, groper and parrot fish. We went on a day when boat was full and still found good places to relax. It was nice to finish the day with cheese and crackers and cake!

  A terrific way to see the Great Barrier Reef. From the relaxed welcome to final farewell the crew ensured we were well looked after. There was ample time for the glass bottom boat, snorkelling and eating the ample food. Nothing was rushed.

  Check-in was fast, boarding was efficient and they provided clear instructions. The food was delicious and plentiful. The locations of snorkeling and glass bottom boat were excellent but it was mostly the coral and fish that made it spectacular. The crew was helpful and polite. The whole trip was a delight!!!
