Basilica Minore San Simplicio

Discover the Basilica of San Simplicio, the oldest and most important religious building in Gallura, dating back to the 11th century. An authentic masterpiece of Sardinian Romanesque and spiritual symbol of the city.

The building is located in the upper part of the historic center and was built on the ruins of a Roman-era pagan temple, possibly dedicated to Hercules. Originally dedicated to the Conversion of Saint Paul, it was the only parish church in Olbia until 1954, when the ancient Basilica of San Simplicio was reopened.

Very nice, they played the audio description in Spanish so that we could understand well, and meanwhile they played typical music.

The guide played 4 audio clips and did not speak to us but was rather on her phone the ENTIRE trip. She did not communicate with us. Period. I requested an English guide. Not English audio. I expected much more given the cost. HUGE waste of money. Would highly NOT recommend.

We was only in olbia for two days and did not have a car. This tour was Great to see Little more of the coust. It was a nice Way to go in the tuc tuc. The driver was verry nice to

Just got back from the Costa Smeralda tour with Alessio. Alessio was easy to communicate with and was easy to arrange for pick up and drop off for a small fee, as me and my partner were staying outside of Olbia and didn't have our own transport. Hand sanitizer was available in the back of the tuk-tuk, pre-recorded audio tracks giving information about various places being passed or stopped at. Looking forward to booking ourselves on a different tour with the company when we next come to Sardinia! Grazie Alessio!

Had an amazing day touring Sardinia in a lovely and unique TukTuk. Alessio was fantastic and very prompt to collect us. He spoke great English. We then did a tour of La Maddalena and the islands which was fantastic with plenty of beach and relaxation time. Highly recommend this tour! Thank you Alessio!
