  Se giri da solo a Delhi, non entrerai mai nell’anima della città, come invece succede visitando la città insieme a Elena, che vive qui da anni e conosce la capitale indiana in ogni suo aspetto, in ogni suo anfratto. Così bene che le ho suggerito di scriverci un libro, chissà se mai lo farà! Non è soltanto una guida, ma una donna che ama questi luoghi, e che si aggira con disinvoltura fra tuk tuk e divinità, mendicanti e monumenti. Mentre io restavo titubante sul marciapiede prima di buttarmi dentro l’ingorgo stradale, lei si avventurava temerariamente nel groviglio di auto e le fermava con un gesto della mano! Meravigliosa! Si dice che i dettagli facciano la differenza. Ecco, Elena, di dettagli, ne conosce tantissimi. E non sono quelli noiosi e retorici delle guida che ti raccontano la città preconfezionata. Sono quelli autentici di chi, una città, la vive ogni giorno sulla propria pelle. If you wander around Delhi alone, you'll never truly delve into the city's soul, unlike visiting it with Elena, who has lived here for years and knows the Indian capital inside and out. So well, I suggested she write a book about it—who knows if she'll ever do it! She's not just a guide, but a woman who loves these places, and who wanders with ease among tuk tuks and deities, beggars and monuments. While I hesitated on the sidewalk before plunging into the traffic jam, she dared to venture into the tangle of cars and stop them with a wave of her hand! They say details make the difference. Elena knows tons of details. And they're not the boring, rhetorical ones of the guidebooks that tell you about the prepackaged city. They're the authentic ones of those who experience a city firsthand every day.

  "I'm going to India", a really valuable manual: clear in content, easy to consult and always at hand on the phone. I recommend it both to those who are planning a trip to India, and to those who are already traveling. The well-structured index allows you to quickly find practical advice and immediate solutions to the many situations that this country can reserve. Thanks to the author’s direct experience and constant updates, time is saved by avoiding long and often unreliable searches. I have known Elena as a cultural guide since before she wrote the manual “I’m going to India”. I relied on his experience to rediscover the Indian capital, and thanks to his knowledge of the territory, I not only visited those places, but also understood them more deeply. I have been to Delhi many times but with his guidance, every corner has acquired a new value in my eyes.

  Discovering old Delhi with Elena, a beautiful Italian woman who has lived in Delhi for many years. Strolling through the narrow alleys of the old towns with Elena is simply fascinating. He transmits to you all his love for this wonderful city, through anecdotes curiosity and people with whom he stops to talk.   Elena and I took the walking tour of Old Delhi. Being the first day of our holiday this tour for us was essential to enter the culture and philosophy of Indian life with the many facets that there are in every area. Especially without Elena we would never have been great to visit that neighborhood so ancient, full of history, highly trafficked and full of people. As a first step in Delhi and generally in India I would like to overrecommend it. Elena is very prepared, very easygoing and pleasant as a person.   We‘re a family of four, and one month ago went to India for the first time; we found out an incredible frenetic and hot city. I contacted Elena via social media and she asked us what our interests and needs were, so we agreed in advance the plan for our 3 days in Delhi. She's been living there for a long time but since she is Italian we could talk in our language! If you want to visit the most significant places I highly recommend you Elena: professional, caring, knowledgeable of the city. She brought us to some of the most tipical places where we could see the real Indian culture, far-away from the turistic attractions. Always helpful, kind and patient, I wholeheartedly recommend her!

  Visiting Delhi with Elena was a really nice experience. His deep passionate knowledge of the city, its history, its art really won us over. As well as move on foot or by local transport to discover even lesser known places where you see everyday life.   Elena and I took a tour of the Old Delhi area, my partner and I, and it was a fantastic experience. You get the impression, with its slow and articulate stories, of entering the ancient streets of this so picturesque neighborhood. Elena alternates historical tales with moments in which the gaze seems to imagine what the old part of the city must have been even a few decades ago; while around us numerous small businesses wind and have interspersed our itinerary in various "stages": from the area of small bakeries and traditional sweet shops we move to the area of printing and textiles, and all this has literally made us breathe the daily life of the people who animate the neighborhood, made up of menial jobs, but who still maintain a craftsmanship handed down for generations, and rituals that mark life in the many places of worship that thanks to Elena we were able to visit and understand better: from the Hindu and Muslim religion, to the lesser-known one of Jainism. Highly recommended
