5.00My fiancee took me on a moonshine tasting during our getaway to San Juan and it was an amazing experience. Gary gave us an in depth history lesson on moonshine making and we were able to taste about 5 different creamy moonshines and coquito. My fiancee was ready to buy bottles on the spot. I would absolutely recommend this tour if you are in old San Juan and want to try some Puerto Rican moonshine.

5.00We stumbled upon this moonshine tasting and it turned out to be one of the most memorable parts of our trip! Gary was very passionate and knowledgeable, walking us through the history of Puerto Rican moonshine (“pitorro”) — from its local roots to how it’s crafted today. Each tasting had its own personality — from smooth and fruity to bold and smoky — and you could really taste the care behind each batch. The atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming, and full of laughter. It didn’t feel commercial at all — more like being invited into someone’s family tradition. If you love authentic experiences and good stories with your drinks, this is a must-do in Puerto Rico. We left with a bottle (or two!) and a lot of great memories. 🍹🌴

5.00We had such a fun time at the moonshine tasting! Our guide, Gray, made the whole experience even better with great energy, fun facts, and an awesome walkthrough of the history behind the moonshine. You could really tell he knew his stuff and enjoyed sharing it. The tasting itself was delicious — a perfect balance of flavor and fun. My favorite was definitely the pistachio moonshine, it was so smooth and unique! The mule we tried was also really good. Overall, such a great experience — learned a lot, laughed a lot, and enjoyed every sip. Highly recommend!
