This walking tour of Old town will focus on everything that makes Dubrovnik unique and it will take you off the beaten path. If you desire a "regular history tour" likes of which you can find in any city in the world there are many in town that will deliver it, but this is not it.
We will explore lives of the ordinary people of the town, their beliefs and customs, courting rituals and relationship with ruling class. The tour will address Dubrovnik secrets, quirkiness and unique approach to problems since Dubrovnik Republic was a first to introduce numerous new concepts, many of which are still relevant today.
Architecture will be addressed also but besides just the year of built and architectural stile we will talk about the stories behind each one. For more information I'll see you at the meeting point.

This is the entrance to the Old Town and in the area between two gates you will find out about defence capabilities of the most heavily fortified city in Europe. Also we will take a look at the map representing the damage done to the Old Town during the siege in the 1990's and hear a few words about Croatian Independence War.

In Old Town's main street the guests will have opportunity to hear a story regarding most of stunning pieces of architecture present in the town itself. St. Saviours church, Franciscan monastery with one of oldest working pharmacies in the world, a marvel of medieval engineering - Onofrio's fountain and hear about stories, legends and ancient customs connected with each one.

5.00Before that, in addition to the interesting key facts about the city, we had many exciting anecdotes about Dubrovnik. We had many questions, all of which he could answer with his extensive knowledge. The walk with him was educational and entertaining. It was also important for us that we could book the private tour at 9am if it is not so hot yet.
