This tour is ideal for those who are coming to Bayeux in the morning and wish to visit the medieval town of Bayeux before boarding a guided tour to the D-Day sites. Also to be enjoyed by those already in Bayeux of course!
Beginning at the infamous Omaha Beach, on to the American cemetery and then to Pointe du Hoc.
From the German weapons strong hold of “WN 62” with its unmistakable view of Easy and Fox sectors on Omaha Beach, and the beach exit “D1” of Vierville sur Mer, we will take you back 80 years and relive the history of our liberators.
This is a complete tour, taking you from Omaha Beach to Pointe du Hoc in a four hour tour segment. When you choose this tour, you will undoubtedly understand why Omaha is such a mystical place in the Invasion landings, and will be remembered into eternity as “Bloody Omaha” on June 6th, 1944

Here we will see many WN’s - (wiederstandnest- meaning German weapons strong point emplacements) from Sainte-Honorine-des-Pertes to Vierville.We will visit some of these strong points, which were the better-defended German Positions along Omaha. We will stop at WN 62 and WN 65 in Fox Green and Easy Red sectors of the American landing, and WN 73 in Dog Green at Vierville. This beach assault was a difficult assignment, given to US V Corps (General Gerow) whose Force O was made up of the 1st Infantry Division, 29th Infantry Division, the Rangers and several attached Units.
This Cemetery, extends over 172.5 acres, and is one of fourteen permanent American World War II cemeteries constructed on foreign soil.It contains the remains of 9387 servicemen and women killed for our freedom. The American Cemetery of Colleville conveys an unforgettable feeling of honor, peace and serenity.

5.00We booked our tour with Overlord a few months in advance, and the response from the office team was exceptional. There were numerous details provided that made understanding the experience straightforward. We knew exactly where to meet our guide, and Antoine met us with a smile as he saw us approaching. Despite the cold and wet weather, he provided us with an experience that we'll never forget. His enthusiasm for the subject matter and his love for the Normandy region shone through. Antoine made us very comfortable in the January cold and told stories about the soldiers that made our experience more engaging. Our children, ranging from 8-16, were all captivated by Antoine's knowledge and expertise. This was a half-day tour that covered a ton of ground, and yet our children never lost interest nor were they thinking about their devices. At the end of the tour, Antoine dropped us off at the restaurant we had made reservations with and recommended a local cider which we both ADORED. We all highly recommend Antoine, and got more out of this experience than had we gone on our own. If you have the opportunity, we recommend working with Overlord and especially with Antoine.

5.00My father and I took a trip to Normandy, which was very special as his father died in France serving in World War II. We were very pleased to have discovered OverlordTour and for our guide, Louis Boubat! Louis guided us through the events of D Day on Omaha Beach, Point Du Hoc and the American Cemetery at Colleville. He was animated in explaining the difficulties of the allied forces in landing and the strategies used both by the Germans and the Allied Forces. Louis was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic in guiding us on our tour and we would recommend him unreservedly.
A half-day tour— but a special lifelong memory!! 5 Stars!

5.00I cannot say enough about how special this tour and our guide was in September! My 85 year old father had long had a visit to Omaha beach on his bucket list, and he pushed himself to travel from Virginia to visit us (in Ireland) and then get to Omaha beach in Normandy. He came well prepared with stories from families and friends- and even maps of the landing sites. Our half-day tour was not only informative. The passion and knowledge that our guide Louis truly made this an unforgettable experience. We will remain thankful for such a special a tour and a memory for both my father and my family. Thanks Overlord— 5 stars from us!

5.00Our tour of Omaha Beach with Rémy was absolutely incredible — truly a tour we didn’t know we needed. Rémy was extremely thorough, unbelievably knowledgeable, and so deeply passionate about the history of the Normandy invasion. We learned so much more than we ever realized there was to know. What really set this tour apart was Rémy’s storytelling. At each stop, while other groups gave quick overviews, Rémy brought the history to life by showing us actual photos that tied directly to the stories he was sharing. It made everything feel real and personal in a way that’s hard to describe. He’s a natural storyteller with a genuine love for what he does, and it shows in every moment. If you’re visiting Normandy — highly, highly, highly recommend this tour. It’s an experience you’ll never forget.

5.00We did the half day tour with Jacques, arriving from Paris on the train in the morning and going back to Paris in the evening. I had been to Normandy 3 times before, but the half day tour with Jacques was by far the best experience. His English is perfect, his command of the history and stories of the events which transpired in Normandy during and after the invasion were impressive and engaging. Our entire group departed for Paris feeling enriched and enlightened by the experience. Do not hesitate to book this tour.

5.00This is a highly recommended tour. A must visit if you're in France. Overlord Tours was quick to response when booking and I highly recommend our guide, Remy. He's so knowledgeable and a really good storyteller. You can feel his passion and emotions from the way he talks about the different places that he took us to. An added bonus was a flyover of a C130 that Remy said sometimes flies over the five DDay beaches. Make sure to book your tour with Overlord Tours and ask for Remy as your guide. You won't regret it!
Can't beat a tour with someone as knowledgeable and personally invested as Guillaume.

5.00Guillaume gave us such a meaningful tour of Normandy. I learned so much and appreciated his vast knowledge, kind and thoughtful demeanor, and personal passion for all that happened on D-Day. We vacationed in Paris for a week, and took a day to do this tour. It ended up being my favorite part of my whole trip. Highly recommend Guillaume. He is incredibly knowledgeable and intelligent. The pace of the tour was very easy and manageable.

5.00This is a half day trip to Omaha Beach, the American cemetery and Pointe du Hoc. The tour provided a brief but excellent overview of the Normandy invasion. And although we saw only three of the many important places connected to the Normandy invasion and campaign, our excellent guide, Louic, filled the driving time with compelling stories and expertly answered our many questions. Then at each site, he gave us excellent introduction to what we would be seeing. Louic was friendly, patient with our many questions and an expert driver. A very worthy tour for this truly important, educational and sobering experience.

5.00There were four of us on the afternoon Overlord tour of Omaha Beach and Pont Hoc. We were in a small van which was very comfortable. Our guide was a young man whose grandparents assisted with the landing, making the tour feel particularly real and personal. We learned a great deal and all of our questions were answered. The town of Bayeaux is a treasure and worth spending some time in. The Normandy landings are such an important piece of our shared history, and the Overlord Tour was very well done.
