We booked a 1/2 day tour of the Omaha Beach area which included the American Cemetery, and we absolutely loved this tour. We were in Normandy for a couple of days, seeing many of the DDay sites and museums. But having a tour guide for the Omaha sector was certainly a highlight. Our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable, he really loved telling the stories of the use heroes who sacrificed so much. We met up in Bayeux which was very easy - however we had about a 20 min walk from the parking lot we found, so the advice to get there in plenty of time was very helpful. The van was comfortable, and most importantly the details of the landing really brought it to life, and the reverence for the soldiers was heartfelt.

Our guide was wonderful, so very knowledgeable about all the events surrounding Normandy and the D-day invasion! He explained the story at each stop, then allowed us to walk around a bit on our own. Highly recommend!

My wife and I did the Omaha Afternoon tour with Overlord in April 2026. It was the perfect opening salvo for our time in Normandy. The afternoon slot gave us enough time to take the train in from Paris, grab lunch and walk through the Cathedral briefly before our meetup. The meeting location was centrally located and easy to find. We were able to walk everywhere we needed to go in Bayeux, so no need for a rental car or parking. Our tour guide was Remy, and he was personable, patient and very knowledgeable about D-Day and the region as a whole, while still being approachable when we had questions. His expertise and personality really made the tour a great experience. He even dropped off some of our fellow travelers directly at the train station after the tour and helped translate and facilitate their travel when their train was delayed. Over and above expectations, and we would love to go back and take the full day tour with Remy someday. The van was spacious and comfortable. The ride between locations was pleasant (no car-sickness, which I can't say for some of our other tours in the area). The histories were deep and well-fleshed-out with pictures and anecdotes from Remy. We got to see the Taps flag-folding ceremony at the American Cemetery. And to cap it off, two French Navy (?) fighters flew over while we were on the beach and tipped their wings in salute as they passed. Apparently, this is something they always do when passing the Normandy beaches. A powerful moment... and a powerful reminder of what was lost and what was gained that day. Well done, Overlord!

This wasn’t one of those canned tours with a 20 year old tour guide with a memorized script. Our tour guide was engaging and very knowledgeable, We did the half day tour and learned a lot, not only about the invasion, but also the planning behind it, the key officers, and the men who went above and beyond to make it happen. This tour operator has really done his homework on background information. He wasn’t stumped by any of the questions people asked. The van was comfortable and because of the smaller group size it was a great choice. I’m giving it a 5 star rating because it deserves it.

Our driver and guide, Remy, was outstanding — knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and clearly passionate about the history. He explained everything in a way that made the events of D-Day and the Normandy invasion come alive. Thanks for a great day

This was an excellent tour and overview of D Day. Lucas did a great job of not only walking us through history and the tactical challenges but also provided a depth of knowledge and personalized stories of the soldiers, life in France during the occupation and the hero's of the historic day in all of its tragedies. We highly recommend this Tour.

My parents and I took the half-day Omaha Half Day tour -- and it was a great experience! We had lucked out and were the only ones in the van -- we took the morning tour -- so it turned out to be a personal tour! Our guide, Jean DiLasser, was excellent -- he is very knowledgeable about the history of the landings and the area (he's a Normandy local) and was a wonderful resource! 100% recommend both the company and the tour, and will definitely book the other ones next time I am in Normandy.

What an amazing tour. Our tour guide Jack was exceptional. An absolutely surreal experience to walk on Omaha Beach and learn more about the devastation our soldiers endured. I can’t recommend this tour enough.

We had a fantastic tour with our guide Antoine. He was extremely knowledgeable and very passionate about the history and the impact on the area where he grew up. He started by learning each of our names and backgrounds. He tailored our trip based on that info. We all learned a lot, and I can’t imagine a better overview in 4 hours…OK, don’t tell his boss, but I think it was more like 5.5 hours. I highly recommend this tour. We are booked for a full day tomorrow!
