The Route du Thé, du Rhum et de la Vanille is a must-do activity in Mauritius that invites you to immerse yourself in the country’s history through the richness of its gastronomy. This authentic excursion will take you along the paths of our three heritage sites: Domaine des Aubineaux, Domaine de Bois Chéri and Domaine de Saint Aubin.

Bois Cheri Tea Factory and Tea Museum

Bois Chéri is the first tea plantation in Mauritius dates back to 1892. A guide will lead you through the factory and the tea plantation, offering you to discover the history, stories and tales of the Bois Chéri and the importance of tea productions in Mauritius. After the guided tour of the tea factory, you will visit the tea production museum learning more about the history of tea in Mauritius. The Bois Chéri offers a great panoramic view of the south of the island. A Tea-based meal is served in the Bois Cheri Restaurant. Nowadays Bois Chéri produces a new range of flavored teas, green teas and herbal teas. You may taste them during your visit.

You can see everything! not just an exhibition but walking through the active factory. The travel agency was responsive on Whatsup and accommodating and not overselling

I booked via Viator, minimal information about the tour booked was ever provided. Then I started being bombarded with emails and messages trying to sell transfers and other tours. When I didn't buy, these they sent a note the day before the trip via Viator (that I had paid for) refusing to pick me up! I had paid in full for a tour with pick up of course! I managed to cancel thankfully! Wouldn't want to give these scammers any money! AVOID!

Great working tea plantation with separate tea tasting venue. Even though we were unable todo the full tour due to no electricity after the cyclone, the tea museum was open and very interesting. We then went for the tea tasting further up the road and what a spectacular setting for a very nice tea tasting session. Lovely staff to facilitate, although possibly a bit of background info with the tea and processes should have added a bit more to the session.
