This bus tour departs from Kanazawa Station where you can enjoy the world heritage site Shirakawago and the Gasshozukuri settlement of Gokayama in a day.The tour is accompanied by an English speaking staff, so it is safe for foreigners.On the bus, your guide will give you a walking map of each tourist destination.The guide will guide you through the sights and souvenirs beforehand, so you can enjoy walking around efficiently.Lunch is a Japanese set meal full of local dishes from the Hida region and mountain produce.You don't have to worry about food, so you can take a leisurely stroll.

Notes
Please climb the Ogimachi Castle Ruins Observatory yourself.Walking is about 10 to 15 minutes one way.A paid shuttle bus costs 300 yen one way (paid locally).

Michi-no-Eki - Shirakawago
You can tour the Gassho Museum attached to the roadside station Shirakawago. Take a look at the Gassho-zukuri structure before heading to Shirakawa-go. They also sell many souvenirs. Please note that we will be closed from December 29th to January 1st, so you will have to stop at a different location. *From April 2024, the drop-in time will be 15 minutes.
The Historic Villages of Shirakawa-go Gassho Style Houses
The World Heritage site of Shirakawa-go is open for free exploration. Stroll at your own pace and enjoy the countryside at your own pace. A delicious lunch full of mountain delicacies is included. *The total duration of the tour is 2 hours and 50 minutes, including lunch.

Local Bus Tivat to Kotor and back

3.00There are two bus station in Tivat itself, one further out of town that serves long distance buses and one for local buses The local bus you can catch to Kotor for €2 (pay on bus) they leave at five to every hour and are hourly, To return from Kotor they leave at 5 past the hour from bus stops on the side of road nearest the water...please be aware they go via Lepatani the long way around the peninsular, so don't worry when the bus looks like its going the wrong way!

3.00Not a pretty as it looks in the photos. Lots of boarded up buildings. Did have a very good lunch though. Gokayama was prettier and more what I expected.

5.00Fun day trip to see two villages. Loved the free time and helpful info. The lunch was very nice. Enjoyed the tour and convenience of the transport. I would add that the bus pick up is on the back side of the train station in front of the Hyatt Centric. The original directions were vague and caused a little worry.

4.00Sites visited were great. Guides were informative. Directions getting to meeting point very obscure, as ourselves and many others almost missed the bus trying to find it.
