While this tour aimed to hit highlights of the city, we made some stops that likely could have been removed to spend more time at others. The main reason Id say this tour was average was due to our guide. We biked through some congested areas, and our guide was zipping through so quickly that we often had guests fall way behind as theyd get stuck behind traffic lights. While it was interesting to hear about Japan's history, it became a bit awkward with the amount of times the guide mentioned America brainwashed the locals post WWII. Given the number of Americans in the group, it made for an uncomfortable environment when it kept coming up. Though our guide would ask if there were any questions, when questions were asked he could be a bit dismissive, which resulted in no one asking anything by the end. By the time we hit the end of the tour, I was ready to be done and out of that environment. I do a lot of bike tours when I travel, and I have to say this one was disappointing. Its likely that since our guide is only a part time employee he isnt as "aware," but overall it felt more like a chore trying to keep up with the guide than it did exploring the city.

Great day in Osaka - a day trip on bikes, visiting the major sites, pedaling through the back streets, stopping for lunch at Kura 5 with the food train. Our guide Mayco was terrific, solid knowledge of sites and kept us safe We steered clear of big crowds and areas not suited to bikes. Around 23 km all up - very safe and easy route.

I love doing bike tours the first day or so in a city. Its a great way to get a lay of the land for the rest of the trip and this one is no different. Our tour guide was very informative and took us to many of the key areas of the city. Would highly recommend

Matt was a terrific tour guide. He’s an American who has lived in Japan for at least 15 years. He’s a Historian and a theatre guy- a perfect combination for this. He was great at accommodating bikers at different skill and strength levels. Also he’s pretty funny and just a bit irreverent.

Could not have been a better introduction to Osaka. Guide Matt combines long experience in Osaka with deep historical knowledge. The mechanics of the tour were flawless. Although the tour lasted about 5 hours, it was much less in actual biking, and much more in getting entertaining stories and history lessons from Matt.

Matt is a great guide who pays close attention to the group, knows where to cycle safely and tells a lot about Osaka's history. But also told about the history of Japan.

Great way to see Osaka in one day! Tour guide Matt was informative about local culture and history and biking was a fun way to cover and get a feel for the whole city quickly. Lunch place was fantastic (one of the highlights) and biking was a perfect pace and hit all of the city highlights. Would highly recommend!

It was a wet and gloomy day in Osaka but my bike tour went ahead regardless and it was so much fun! Grabbed a cheap waterproof poncho from 7-11 and that was all I needed to enjoy this tour regardless of the weather. Our guide was knowledgeable and great company. She clearly loves this city and enjoys sharing her local knowledge with guests. Thankyou!! 25km clocked up over the day but lots of breaks for snacks, drinks and lunch fueled me perfectly!
