Hamdeok Beach

If you walk along Jeju Olle Course 19, you will come across Hamdeok Beach, which has an emerald jewel. Hamdeok Beach, located in Hamdeok-ri, Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si, is also called ‘Hamdeok Seoubong Beach’ because of Oreum (Seoubong Peak) standing right next to the beach. It is only 20km away from Jeju Airport, but the moment you arrive here, you feel like you are in another country. The tall palm trees that welcome you from the entrance, the emerald sea that contrasts with the white sand, the clear water and white waves that make even the sand and seaweed transparent are like that. Among the numerous beaches in Jeju Island, if you choose three places with the most beautiful sea color, it is definitely Hyeopjae Beach, Gimnyeong Beach, and Hamdeok Beach. The water is clear and the water depth is shallow, so it is also a good summer resort for families. The west side of the beach is connected by an overpass, so you can experience walking on the sea.

Haenyeo Museum

Jeju haenyeo are the strong mothers of Jeju and the spiritual pillars of Jeju residents. Also, the life of the Jeju haenyeo community is a model that humanity should aim for. Jeju haenyeo formed a merit-based community and democratically decided through discussions. She not only cared for the elderly and infirm, such as Halmang Badang and Geseok, and raised funds with her material profits to contribute to society, such as villages and schools. She also came up with various contraptions to coexist with the sea, such as beach sweeping, gold snatching, and dialysis. Jeju haenyeo culture was recognized for its value and was registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on November 30, 2016 (local time).

It was such a comfortable ride with Mr Ko. He really tried to make our day memorable. He is a great photographer and has so much energy! I saw everything I wanted to do in Jeju. I recommend booking with Mr Ko!! My family was so happy and satisfied.

Rea was very nice. However, we had a bit of trouble to due the language and therefore barely received a "guided" tour. It was more a driver.

Great experience but the guide (Mr. Kim) was really more of a private driver and not a tour guide. He tried his best to point things out here and there. People should know this ahead of time so they aren’t disappointed. Overall, the experience was positive and Jeju is lovely.

I had a wonderful day touring Jeju Island with Ko. We saw many highlights of the island (Jeju Stone park, Saryeoni Forest, Seongsang Ilchubong, Haeynyo divers, Lava caves, Olle trail etc). Ko was very kind, informative and fun to be around- he took many, many amazing photos of the experience, and I felt very safe with him. His car is also very comfortable and large. Ko is extremely knowledgeable of the island and takes you to areas that other tours would not. I would not hesitate to book this trip, it has given me so many incredible memories. Thank you so much Ko!!!!!

Mr Ko was a fantastic guide around Jeju helping to plan where were the best places to go for a first timer based on our interest areas! Covered many places and he had really good restaurant recommendations. Every lunch was delicious and value for money. Fluent in English to boot!

I contacted Mr Ko and swiftly responded. Me my fellow cruise passengers (20 of us) have good tour with Mr Won and Mr Park. We have great time with the tour. Mr Ko’s Jumbo Taxi is highly recommended. You can have your own itinerary based on our schedule when the ship docks thru when the ship sails.

Mr Ko was fantastic. He brought us to a local noodle shop for breakfast after we arrived in Jeju. We visited Kimnyeong Maze Park and Jeolmul forest for that day. Hr also recommended a Korean Lunch which we enjoyed. He is also very attentive to kids and the elderly. While having lunch, he came over to check on us and assisted to remove the fishbones for us.
