Efficient and enjoyable transylvania highlands tour

5.00The tour was a great way to get a well-rounded overview of Transylvania’s top attractions in a single day. The organizer went above and beyond by offering hotel pickup instead of the standard meeting point, which was a very nice and convenient touch. Transportation was comfortable, with a well-maintained Ford Transit that made the journey pleasant. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned and efficiently organized, allowing us to see a lot without feeling rushed. We also appreciated the assistance with securing tickets for the attractions, which made the experience smooth and hassle-free. The combination of the bear sanctuary, Râșnov Fortress, and Bran Castle provided a perfect mix of nature and history. Everything ran on time and felt professionally managed throughout the day. The only improvement I would suggest is allowing a bit more free time at Bran Castle to explore at a more relaxed pace.

5.00Clearly we didn’t read the spec properly as you have to buy tickets on top of the travel costs, but that was no problem and the whole day was brilliant

4.00We were somewhat disappointed with the tour. We never received an email stating we needed to get the tickets for the bear sanctuary ahead of time. We knew they weren’t included but didn’t have that information. It was frustrating to be told we might not get in as the groups are limited. The other disappointment was the cost. It was over $300 for the 4 of us but the tickets to the 3 tours were not included? It was like an overpriced bus ticket. In hindsight we could have taken an Uber or bus for less than this. All that said, the castle, the citadel and the sanctuary were nice. Would recommend anyone visiting Braşov to check them out.

4.00The driver was friendly and very knowledgeable. However we expected to be out from 08.30 till 16.30, but were returned to Brasov at 14.30. In addition, the trip was to include a visit to Rasnov Fortress, but when we arrived we were told is was closed and had been for sometime. We should have been informed of this as the overall cost of the trip was to include this, (not any entry fee). The visit to the bear sanctuary was amazing and well worth a visit. Bran castle was a worthwhile experience, however given the issue of time and Rasnov Fortress being closed, more time could have been spent at Bran castle.

5.00Great place to see bears! They are a sanctuary helping bears and also educating people on the struggles of captive bears in Romania. On our visit we've seen 25-30 different bears of different ages from little ones to full grown massive ones as well as deer, wolfs, and a fox.

5.00The organiser was really flexible on the day with the itinerary! Not only the best driver in Romania, but a cracking story teller and guide too. I have left his car with beautiful memories, funny anecdotes, and a friend for life
