It's a one-way journey from Tbilisi to Yerevan, but it was more efficient and good to be able to visit various tourist spots and shops than just passing by bus. There were various food courts along the way, which was nice. The guide's explanation was also good. The bus also had a USB port, making it relatively comfortable.

It’s a long winding trip with much to see along the way, not to mention the challenge of really high temperatures in Yerevan. It’s a trip well worth taking to as one sees quite a bit of Armenia in just one day. We left Tblisi at 7am ( group of 14) and the mini-bus departed Yerevan at 6:30pm (I did the one way trip and would highly recommend doing that). The vehicle was surprisingly comfortable with good AC, cold bottled water and even WiFi on board. The driver, Soso drove carefully. Sophie, was one of the best guides I have ever experienced (spoke in both English and Russian as we had a mixed group). She gave clear guidance of the timeline and stops expected, shared so much information on history of country, religion and pointed out places we drove past. She accompanied us through all the sites visited describing what was significant and then gave us time to explore on our own. She was responsive to any other questions we had. In addition, she shepherded us all through immigration (those needing visas on arrival - you can pay by credit card or apple pay after filling a form), to where to change money at good rates, find toilets, and through lunch choices at a food court (with a lot of choices to meet all needs). One couldn’t ask for more of a guide or transportation vehicle.
