I could have likely found another way to get to Salento from Pereira, but as a lady solo traveler, I didn't want to take a chance. I am so glad I booked my ride in advance, my driver Oscar was very communicative and punctual. The experience was fantastic.

The experience of traveling from Pereira to Salento is simply spectacular. The landscape is impressive, with its green mountains, coffee plantations and the famous Quindío wax palm. The cool climate and tranquility of the place make you feel in harmony with nature. Furthermore, in Salento you can enjoy the delicious local cuisine, walk its colorful streets and visit the Cocora Valley, home of these imposing palms. It is definitely a destination that you cannot miss if you visit the Coffee Axis in Colombia.
