Conwy Castle is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is arguably the most striking and iconic of Edward I's castles in Wales. Here we will walk in the footsteps of kings, queens, freedom fighters and townsfolk as we explore this mighty structure. Together we will interpret and unpack the features of this unique building and hear the stories from its' incredible past. We will climb the towers and experience the castle wall walk as we visit the mighty defences, royal suite of apartments, the Great Hall, the Chapel, the Prison Tower, the King's chamber and much more. There will plenty of opportunities to capture beautiful photos with a stunning backdrop.

5.00Unfortunately, the Castle was closed so we could touch the wall but couldn't go inside! However, we were offered a walking tour of the lovely town of Conwy which included a history of the castle. Led by the incredibly knowledgable Ruby, we learnt so much about Conwy including Edward I, Llewellyn the Great and Mam Cymru. We didn't meet any Jackdaws (if you know you know) but we had a wonderul time. Thoroughly recommend this tour for a whistestop tour of a very pretty and town.

5.00Fun tour guide with great stories! James is a lively and engaging speaker with many facts and stories to tell. This makes taking a guided tour far better than setting off on your own. He was kind enough to meet us early when it looked like we might be rained out. Highly recommend!

4.00Well researched by a former history teacher, I managed to do 2 of his walks and was very impressed; he also does the Ghost 👻 walk if you have time. Unfortunately I didn’t, but I would like to do it when I return @ some point.

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed our Conwy Castle tour with James. He provided great context and colorful stories which brought life at this ancient castle to life. We could almost smell the bread baking and see the crossbow soldiers on patrol! The views from the towers were amazing.
