Walk through Dotonbori street with its huge billboards, hundreds of restaurants and food stalls selling local foods including the famous Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki.
Sennichimae Doguyasuji Shopping Street
A 150 meter long shopping street lined with specialty stores with every cooking utensil and kitchen item available. This arcade with its variety of appliances, tableware and cooking accessories provides an interesting counterpoint to the nearby fresh food market at Kuromon Ichiba and can also be a good spot for picking up some unique souvenirs.

5.00We took a private tour of the Osaka Castle and Shiennoji Temple with Yuji-san our guide. He was very knowledgeable and told explained the history and layout in details and kept us interested. Shared some interested facts about Japanese history. GLAD we did the tour privately as we were able to move around at out own pace. We finished ahead of time to he walked us to Tsuyunoten Temple a fund diversion... followed by a meal at an Izakaya in Umeda Osaka where most office worker have lunch.. and tried puffer fish. It was overall a fun experience.

5.00We had a wonderful experience with Noriko! She was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and she took the time to discuss different options with us so we could decide what we most wanted to see. Throughout the time, she shared fascinating insights about the city and its history, making every stop interesting and enjoyable. She also made sure we were having fun along the way, and her recommendations for dinner spots were absolutely fantastic. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide — highly recommended!

5.00We had an excellent tour with Masa. I was feeling under the weather on the day of our tour but did not want to miss out on seeing Osaka. Masa was kind to make last minute changes to accommodate our needs. She even found a pharmacy and clinic for me. She took our group of 3 to wonderful sites and she was extremely knowledgable about history of each. If we return to Osaka, I would ask for Masa's services again. She gave us advice on other travel plans and was generous with her time and explanations.

5.00Our guide for the day was Sachiko. She was great and went above and beyond our expectations. We spent the first part of the tour at Osaka Castle where Sachiko gave a good history lesson during our walk around and inside the castle. We then walked through Kuomon Market and then through the Shinsekai area, finishing in Dotonbori. We went down side alleys as well as the busy areas. Sachiko showed us the parts of these areas she thought would interest us and took plenty of photos along the way. There were four of us on the tour and her pace was just right for us and she certainly wasn't concerned about spending more time with us than was specified in the tour. A great day out. Thank you Sachico.

5.00Tanigawa Kaeko-san was a wonderful tour guide! She arrived early to meet us at our hotel, noticed that the view from our hotel lobby likely made going to Umeda Sky redundant, and made quick adjustments to make our walking tour more unique for our experience in Osaka. Having a government-licensed tour guide is absolutely a must if you’re going to the very crowded Osaka Castle, as having a guide allows you to skip the massive line and go directly up to purchase tickets for entry. Tanigawa-san gave us fantastic information about the history of Osaka and was so accommodating and attentive to our interests. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

5.00Kuni, our guide was friendly, informative, knowledgeable and stayed with us past our allotted tour time, making sure we got to our final destination. Be prepared to do a lot of walking, including a lot of steps into and out of the subway system.
