Welcome to Japan’s Kitchen! Osaka truly comes alive after dark and your night-time dinner tour dives right into the heart of it. This 4 hour food-focused experience takes you through the buzzing backstreets, neon-lit alleys, and hidden corners of Namba and Dotonbori. With 5 stops and roughly 13 dishes (and 2 drinks!), you’ll eat like a local, laugh like an old friend, and discover the wild and wonderful world of Osaka nightlife. We’re not here to rush or recite a script, we’re here to share the real Osaka through food, fun stories, and great conversation. Whether it’s sumo, snacks, or the shady side of Japans secretive mafia, nothings off the table. Ask questions, try everything, and let the city surprise you.

5.00Great tour with Tommy, visited several places we wouldn't have tried on our own, and had a good selection of food and drink. Small, fun group that we enjoyed spending time with. Even got a taste for Tofu, which I thought would never happen !!!

5.00Tried lots of different foods ......places down tiny alleyways . Tommy was a fantastic host explaining what he had ordered and why. Showcasing alot of variety of meats and tempura and udon. We had about 6 stops . Very happy with the types of food and the servings were just right . I know have a new love of japenese food.🧡 A really fun night. English speaking Tommy is well educated in Osakan cuisine..... obviously taught well by he's Japanese wife .

5.00The best food tour in Osaka!! I wish I could give a million of stars!! Because it was one of the best tours I have ever had in my life! If you want to eat and drink like a local, this is the tour you must book! We were so full after the tour so remember to come hungry! Tommy is super knowledgeable and the tour is very interactive. I would love to do this tour again when I come back to Osaka! Thank you Tommy so much!!

5.00We did this tour with Tom as a family of five from New Zealand (with young adult kids) and it was hands-down one of the highlights of our entire Japan trip. Yes — the food was amazing. But what made it truly special was everything around it. Tom didn’t just feed us, he gave us the context: Japanese culture, etiquette, neighbourhood vibes, and even the more real-life side of things (local issues, politics, what’s actually going on beneath the surface). It was fascinating, and it genuinely set us up for the rest of our holiday — we were instantly better visitors because of it. Massive bonus: we have a coeliac child, and Tom went out of his way to make sure she could fully join in. Anyone who’s travelled in Japan with dietary restrictions knows how hard that can be, but Tom handled it brilliantly and found gluten-free options along the way so she didn’t miss out. We honestly can’t recommend this tour enough — it’s the perfect way to start your trip, and you’ll leave feeling full, informed, and very smug about how much you now know. Fair warning: your friends may get sick of you afterwards because you’ll be saying “Tom says…” for the rest of the trip 😄

5.00Such a fantastic tour! Tommy was great at tailoring the tour to our group. We had excellent food and so many laughs with the locals. We ended up going back to one of the venues for the gyoza (best in Osaka!). Thanks so much Tommy! I highly recommend!!

5.00I booked a Food Tour with Tommy for my first night in Osaka since I was travelling by myself and I had a blast. Tommy was very friendly and made it feel like a friend’s night out. The whole tour was very entertaining and the food was delicious. The price was very reasonable for the amount of fun I had.
