You’ll weave your way through Osaka’s streets with one of our local Osaka hosts, feasting on regional Kansai dishes. Known as ‘Kuidaore City’, meaning ‘to ruin oneself with food’, we’re sure you’ll agree that this sounds like you’ve happily landed in the country’s gastronomic capital! You’ll feast on Kobe beef, best served grilled or in Tecchiri. Round things off with dessert! You could go for sweet rice cakes, rainbow-colored pancakes or matcha flavored ice-cream.
Within 24 hours after booking you'll receive a short questionnaire about your personality and interests. Based on your responses, you'll be assigned a like-minded host. Your host will communicate with you directly to suggest an itinerary to help you discover what makes the city unique. You will also agree on a meeting time and place. Your itinerary is flexible, so during the xperience, you can always change your mind about what you want to do.

5.00Maria was absolutely amazing. She taught us things, explained the foods we were eating and took us to so many fun places. We ate so much food and she pivoted based on what we liked and wanted to do. Can’t say enough good things about the tour and Maria in general. She was one of our favourite tour guides in all of Japan that we had. Super friendly. Would definitely recommend her.

5.00We met Maria in a bus lane vibrant neighborhood in Osaka. Maria was friendly and inviting felt instantly comfortable. We had a great time all evening exploring the city, different restaurants and amazing food. Food is a perfect way to know the culture and people of a destination, and we are so glad that we had Maria to take us on this journey. Thank you, John, Erick, and Shawn.

5.00We spent our time in Osaka with Maria. She was fabulous! What a warm, lovely and knowledgeable guide. Imagine being able to “rent a bestie” to show you around their home town- and it’s pretty much what the tour felt like. The tour was tailored to what we wanted to see and eat- which was exactly what we wanted and Maria was flexible too through the time we were together, so if something popped up we wanted to have a look at, she was happy to help. Definitely worth doing if you’re in Osaka.
