The Taste of Canada Food Tour is a guided gastronomic experience that brings iconic Canadian dishes to life through delicious tastings, fun storytelling, and local insight.
Over the course of 2 – 2.5 hours, you’ll visit a variety of handpicked spots in the heart of Ottawa’s historic ByWard Market, sampling dishes and drinks that highlight Canadian comfort foods, regional favourites, and uniquely Canadian inventions.
Along the way, your guide will share the history, quirks, and cultural significance behind each bite.

5.00I did the Taste of Canada tour last week with Ottawa Food Tours, and it was truly one of the highlights of my trip. Our guide, Richard, was incredibly knowledgeable but also so warm and personable—it honestly felt like being welcomed by a friend in a new city. He made us feel right at home from start to finish. The food was amazing and surprisingly high quality. Every stop featured local restaurants and products from the ByWard Market, and you could really feel the authenticity behind each tasting. What made it even more special was learning the history behind the dishes—Canadian food has such interesting stories, and we were genuinely impressed and pleasantly surprised throughout the tour. This experience perfectly combines food, culture, and history in a fun and engaging way. I would absolutely recommend it as a must-do in Ottawa! If you’re visiting the city, don’t miss it!

5.00Some months ago, I did the Taste of Canada Tour with Flavia ( Ottawa Food) and it was such an amazing experience!!! Flavia explained everything in detail and with passion. It is for sure, an original way of getting to Know the city and its culture.
