  Amazing experience, would definitely recommend. We have been indoor bouldering for about 6 months, this was our first time outside and was a great introduction that has left us confident to safely boulder outside by ourselves. We covered everything you need to know around outdoor bouldering including access to sites, what equipment you need and how to use it, managing risk by spotting and pad placement, how to use the guide books. Then practically in terms of climbing we covered topping out boulders which is something we had not done before in indoor climbing. Rob was extremely knowledgable about the location - in fact he is a person responsible for developing the site and you will see his name many times in the Gareth Pratt guide to the site. One extra nice thing I wanted to point out is that as well as everything to do with outdoor bouldering, while we were climbing we actually got useful coaching feedback on our climbing itself because Rob is a climbing coach. My partner and I are both quite risk averse and anxious people and we felt very safe and comfortable this whole experience. Overall I definitely recommend this course.

  We had a great day outdoor bouldering with Rob. He was knowledgeable, patient and enthusiastic throughout - no question too silly or too complex. It felt like a proper workshop with plenty of opportunity to climb and the perfect transition for anyone looking to move from indoor to outdoor climbing or as an introduction to the sport. A well rounded and great value experience covering safety, warming up and safety practicalities of outdoor bouldering on top of the climbing itself. Would highly recommend!

  Amazing day with up and under. Very friendly guide with Rob and he was clear and supportive throughout. Personable on every level and even gave us great tips for where to go next on our trip away!! Thank you so much
