Calling all fans of the world’s favourite wizard, this Oxford walking tour takes you to recognizable locations of the Harry Potter films. During this family-friendly tour, see the grand buildings of Oxford University and see inside the Divinity School—which featured as the infirmary & classroom space in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Learn of other literary legends that attended Oxford University.
Tour includes entry worth £3 per person inside the Divinity school at the Bodleian Library. Tour lasts average 90-120 minutes.
Notice: on dates when Divinity school is closed - see closures notices under What's not Included section- we instead visit New college.

Bodleian Library
See inside Divinity School film site at Bodleian Library- worth £2.50 entry fee included in your ticket. NB we do NOT visit inside the medieval library as it does not anyway permit private guiding inside. If you do wish to see inside Duke Humfreys library, then you can book tickets for that directly from the Bodleian website but they only permit entry to children aged 12+ or adults.
Bridge of Sighs
We also see and describe many stories about Oxford university and student life and we pass by and introduce most of the famous sights of Oxford during the tour eg Radcliffe Camera, University Church, Bridge of Sighs and multiple colleges of the university.

5.00We had a great time! Naima was a lot of fun and very informative, not only about Harry Potter but about the University as well. She was also a great resource for tips on dining and other activities. Highly recommend!

5.00We had a really nice tour guide (Neve)! She was really nice and guided us through the film sets, but also explained a lot about the university and answered all of our questions! It was really interesting and fun to see, so overall a great experience!

5.00Billy, the guide, did a very nice job. Many interesting facts about authors, both J.K. Rowling as others. Highly recommended. We've been to several filming locations, but we've only been to one inside. We thought there would be more.

5.00We had a super guide in Naima. My daughter and I booked on a tour. We were the only ones on the tour but because we couldn’t change our date the tour still went ahead which is was professional and appreciated. The tour itself was excellent. Our guide was very engaging and pitched it just right for us. A mix of history and a bit of JK Rowling and Harry Potter context. Most enjoyable.
Take this tour if you want both Harry Potter and Oxford history!

5.00My wife and I were fortunate to have Sam as our guide. Sam was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly teaching us anything and everything about Oxford and the connections to Harry Potter.

5.00Our guide Dimas was extremely nice! We learnt a lot, not only about harry potter but also about Narnia and the Lord of the Rings. And more insight on the authors themselves as well. Sadly we weren't able to visit the inside of the Library or Christ church (It was not included in the tour and you have to book well in advance for tickets). This tour did not disappoint! If you like to learn more about the background information of how the stories were created, than this is the tour for you!

4.00Our guide was very knowledgeable about both Oxford and Harry Potter. He was very friendly and made the tour fun - a true Hufflepuff. New college was closed and it doesn’t go as far as Christchurch, but we still saw a lot.
