This is a luxury experience. We have 3 guides (a private cowboy with a horse, who speaks English, and a guide who tells you details about the volcano).
We book the private lava chef, have chips & salsa on a brilliant colored picnic and your sunset dinner is served with wine-We also have a tasting of gourmet chocolates of Guatemala to accompany the S'mores you roast on lava- ALL at the base of an active volcano overlooking 3 other volcanos.

Itinerary: - Pickup from Antigua (1 hour) - Ride to the active volcano (45 mins to 1 hour) - Explore the volcano and enjoy a meal (2.5 hours) - Return ride to the park (45 minutes) - Return transportation to Antigua (1 hour) This tour includes an English-speaking guide, volcano guide, private cowboy guide for each person-who are also your waiters, transportation, and all park fees. 5.00Our experience on the Pacaya Volcano horse tour withe Alaska Dave and Niki was absolutely unforgettable! First of all, my friend and I didn’t realize we had booked a hotel in a red zone, but Niki went above and beyond to take care of us. She personally called us, helped us relocate, and even arranged for Alaska Dave - the most incredible tour guide - to pick us up, take our luggage, and make sure we arrived safely at our new hotel in a much safer area. Niki is such a loving, kind, and thoughtful person. She made us feel completely supported during what could have been a stressful situation. She also sent a list of recs in Antigua for us to check out. And Alaska Dave, what a ray of light! He’s not only an amazing guide but also someone who made us feel so safe, comfortable, and at ease throughout the whole experience. The tour itself is breathtaking. The horses are so well-behaved and gentle, making the ride up the volcano enjoyable for all levels. And the pizza baked right on the volcano is absolutely delicious, a true highlight you can’t miss! We are so grateful to Niki and Alaska Dave for turning our trip into such a safe, joyful, and memorable adventure. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Guatemala! I will definitely do this again when I am back.

5.00The horse riding to the volcano was a one in a life time experience!!! I had the luck to ride with Niki and it was the most perfect day. I loved hearing about the work she does with the animals and I could see how impactful the tour is to the community! They were very accommodating and trust worthy! I would definitely recommend and hopefully will be back!

5.00I had the most incredible experience horseback riding up Pacaya Volcano in Guatemala! From start to finish, everything was beyond expectations. We rode through stunning mountain scenery, across volcanic lava beds, and even stopped to enjoy salsa and chips on the volcano! One of the highlights was roasting marshmallows on the lava beds! The horses were absolutely amazing, well-trained, calm, and perfectly suited to both experienced and beginner riders. My friend, who’s fairly new to riding, had the best time cantering and even galloping for the first time with total confidence, thanks to the incredible temperament of the horses and the care of our guides. They went above and beyond by inviting us to visit their barn afterward for an extra ride, which made the day feel even more special. Their hospitality truly stood out. What made the experience even more meaningful was learning about the work they do in the local community. Their commitment to giving back is inspiring and added so much heart to the experience. I can’t recommend this enough.

5.00This adventure was absolutely unforgettable! From start to finish, it’s clear that Nikki and her staff deeply care about the people, animals, and culture of Guatemala. The horses were so well cared for — healthy, happy, and clearly loved — which made the experience even more special. They were also very well trained, making the ride enjoyable and comfortable even for those who aren’t expert riders. The scenery was breathtaking, from riding through lush coffee plantations and local villages to reaching the otherworldly lava beds. One of the highlights was roasting s’mores right on an active volcano — something I’ll never forget! Every part of this trip was thoughtfully planned and felt incredibly authentic. It’s absolutely worth the money for the memories and connection to the beautiful land and people of Guatemala. Highly recommend!!

5.00What an amazing afternoon! The cowboys were so nice and knowledgeable, the horses so well trained and gorgeous and the views incredible! Eating the food cooked at the lava vent was the icing on top! Highly recommend this tour!

5.00Amazing time with amazing horses! Nikki is a wonderful human and Manuel is so much fun. Definitely a highlight of our time in Guatemala. Will definitely be planning a trip back soon. Manuel made sure we were having fun at all times and the horses made the whole experience a delightful breeze! 10/10, A+, would recommend!!!
