Lake Arenal

We wil pass over the Lake Arenal Dam. Arenal Lake is a breathtaking man-made lake located in northern Costa Rica, at the base of the iconic Arenal Volcano. Spanning approximately 85 square kilometers (33 square miles), it is the largest lake in the country and a crucial source of hydroelectric power, supplying nearly 70% of Costa Rica’s renewable energy. Wonderful horseback riding tour with volcano views, dear and well-groomed horses and great guides. We were very lucky to be only two and enjoyed the ride very much. My partner (fear of horses and first ridden), it was so much fun that he definitely wants to ride again😉

The overall value for this tour is definitely worth it in my humble opinion. Our family had the best time on this tour, the guides really made sure to provide an excellent experience and the scenery is just amazing and the animals are majestic. My youngest is 7 and she rode on her own and I felt we were in great hands the entire time. This was hands down our favorite tour for all in our party for our entire trip. Must try.

We are a family of five ages 20-60 with variable horseback riding experience and we ALL had a great time with Alfonso and his crew at Paco’s horseback riding (Mistico Park). The horses were all well behaved and seemed happy. My daughters and husband who were comfortable on horseback were able to open up a little on their horses while my nice horse was steady and predictable. The tour goes thru the river and rainforest. Nice stop at a high spot which I suspect would have had amazing views and be a great photo spot. For our trip it was raining and cloudy so no scenic vista but still had a fantastic time. The wranglers (states term) were nice, fun and kept us safe and happy. Great experience, thanks!

Fuimos con mi suegro y 2 de mis hijos. Experience increíble!! Senderos a campo abierto, entre la vegetación, sobre ríos, etc! Los guías Kenneth, Juan y Giovanni fueron increíbles y estando siempre pendientes de los chicos para que tengan la mejor experiencia! 100% recomendable!! We went with my father-in-law and two of my children. An incredible experience!! Open-field trails, through vegetation, over rivers, and more! The guides, Kenneth, Juan, and Giovanni, were amazing and were always looking out for the kids to make sure they had the best possible experience. 100% recommended!!

Paco horses lived up to its good reputation. We took an early morning horseback riding tour at 8 AM and we were the only ones on the tour so it felt very personal. The horses appeared healthy, and happy. The tour took us through different types of terrain, including a river, which was a lot of fun. It was a clear day and the views of volcano were amazing. I highly recommend Paco horses without hesitation.

Great place to visit and tour the arenal area in horses. Horses are great and very well behave. This was my first time on a horse, and Alonso and Jovani were great. Would recommend.

Paco's Horseback Riding in Mistico Park was so much fun! Horse's were super gentle and the guides were a lot of fun! Highlight of our trip to Costa Rica, kids loved it! Highly recommend!

The horses were so sweet and joyful. The scenery was beautiful and lush with amazing views. Even though it rained throughout our ride we had THE BEST time! The guides were fantastic as well.
