Experience one of Gothenburg’s most scenic waterways on a two‑hour live‑guided boat tour along Säveån, often called the city’s own “Amazon.”
Departing from Kungsportsplatsen, the classic Paddan boat takes you through the historic moat and Great Harbor Canal before reaching the Göta River and continuing into Säveån’s lush, wildlife‑rich landscape.

5.00This was a little different round to go along Säveån. You got to see another side of Gothenburg. The guide was very nice and told us all the time about everything we saw. We also went inside Gothenburg on the canals. Well worth the ride!

5.00Paddan sightseeing is a very nice way to see and get to know Gothenburg. This tour on Säveån is absolutely magical. Such beautiful surroundings and exciting stories about the old boatyards passed. If you are lucky you will also get to see some of the rich wildlife along the river. A fantastic tour for us Gothenburgers too. A tribute to the crew Harald and Lisa on Paddan boat 12. Really informative and humorous guided tour by Harald. Lisa steered the boat with a safe hand. Top rating!!!

5.00A bit on the pricy side, but interesting. The best was the guide, Tova. Lots of information with the driest humour and twist of words that you can imagine. I giggled most of the time onboard due to her. Bravo!

4.00Enjoyed our experience! Was a lovely way to learn about Gothenburg and neat to see the town from the water way. Thought our tour guide - Viktor, I believe - was wonderful and comedic. Our captain, Glenn (?) was skilled at navigating the waterways. Advertisement for the tour does note going under several bridges in the canal but did not mention how short the clearance can be at times. We went on a day where water was high and ducking under bridges was necessary for the majority of the 20 bridges we crossed under. Made for a fun and unique experience but may not be most suitable for someone with mobility issues and/or claustrophobia (most passes under the bridge were short periods but some of the bigger bridges were likely 4+ car lanes in width).

5.00Can really recommend this boat tour Säveån. The guide Bjarne was incredibly good. With its knowledge and professionalism, this tour was magical. Fun with some Gothenburg humor is a plus. Thanks also mate.

5.00Being a tourist in your own city is something you should do more often. We went on this tour on säveån the last day in July. Our Guide Harald was very good at his job and Thomas who piloted the boat had an eye on the boat and had good cooperation with Harald. Highly recommend this tour, try to spot a day with good weather.

5.00Take the 50-minute route, in Swedish and English. A breathtaking view of Gothenburg and all its monuments. The tour also runs over the sea to the Lipstick building.
